Excel knife users beware
Super-sharp but there was a problem with my Excel knife - they don't fit.I measured an existing blade shank size as 6 mm before purchasing and a reviewer confirmed that was the size of these blades. So I was surprised that when they arrived they didn't fit. When I measured my existing blade size more carefully it is fractionally under 6 mm, more like 5.7 mm, so the Olfa blades don't fit into the knife collar. Perhaps this is deliberate so "standard" 6 mm blades don't fit and you have to buy theirs. Not to be defeated, I filed two grooves opposite each other on the inside of the collar, so now they will slot in.5 stars for the product - that fact that I couldn't immediately fit the blades in my knife is not the fault of the blades.

Hands down the sharpest precision blade in this caregory
I used to use the leading brand in this category of blades exclusively for years, but in recent years noticed that the blades especially the points would not cleanly pierce some material surfaces easily. I did much research and came across a few recommendations from hobbyists about these blades. While pricier than the competition they are well worth it. Not only do they pierce and cut various materials well, they tend to hold the edge longer. These are high quality blades made in Japan.

The best
Unparalleled quality. No burrs on the back edge. Sharper. Longer lasting. The Japanese simply make better blades than their American counterparts. This is the Honda VFR 750 of craft blades.
