Mikasa Regent Bead 65 Piece Silverware Set, 18.10 Polished Mirror Stainless Steel, Service for 12 with Serving Set

I live this set. No chips or scratches. I use it daily so very happy with the quality!

I can’t begin to describe how beautiful this set is. It has the weight of restaurant cutlery but the quality of fine flatware. I’m delighted with this purchase.

Beautiful classy set for everyday use that is weighted perfectly IMO. Quality seems great. Not light in your hands like some. One item to note is that the spoons are slightly larger than my previous two sets. That is fine for the smallest spoon but the larger spoon seems almost too large even to use as a soup spoon. See image-my current spoons are in the middle and new ones are on the outside.

I have had this set for a few months. I waited to post my review because I saw others write that they had problems with rusting, etc. I have found that it is not true for the set I have. They go through the dishwasher often, their shine is like new, and there is no rust, no discoloring, no issues at all. This is a heavyweight set, and I could not be happier with it. I highly recommend!

I bought this flatware on a whim shortly before Christmas because I noticed that the flatware I've had for over 10 years was getting sort of scratchy and dull looking. With company coming for the holidays, I wanted to find new flatware that would look good without breaking the bank. I was lucky enough to find this set for 50% off so I took a chance on it. I've been married over 30 years and in all that time, the only brand of flatware we've ever had was Reed & Barton (3 previous sets). This is my first experience with Mikasa. Right off the bat, I can say that there's a big difference in weight. Reed & Barton is much heavier and has a more solid feel in the hand. However, that doesn't mean that Mikasa isn't good. It still held up to the frozen ice cream test (a spoon didn't bend when trying to serve ice cream with it) so it seems to be just as durable. Looks-wise, Mikasa is visually just as beautiful as Reed & Barton. It's just as shiny as Reed & Barton is when new and the Mikasa pattern is very attractive. I've only had it a few days so the jury is still out on whether it will hold up as well as my old Reed & Barton flatware but right out of the dishwasher, it was gleaming with no signs of rust like some other buyers experienced.
