Q: What is the difference between this yogurt starter and yogurt culture?

Basically it is same. Yogurt starter is a carefully crafted mix of various strains of bacteria, known as cultures. Yogurt starter is used to start the process of culturing the milk to form yogurt. For example, our bulgarian yogurt starter contains following cultures: S.thermophilus & L.bulgaricus.

Q: When I tried to make 2nd batch yogurt from first batch of yogurt, it failed, why?

1. You may not have saved for the next starter BEFORE using the made batch. 2. The amount saved may not have been enough. I use 3-4 tablespoons for approx 500 ml mlik. 3. If you are not using a yogurt maker then the milk temperature was probably not right. The starter powder will work even at incorrect temperature. 4. Beat buy an electric yogurt maker and get perfect results each time.

Q: Can I use remaining yogurt to make new batch?

Yes, you can make batch after batch. Just make sure that you make yogurt from the previous yogurt at least once per week.

Q: Can I use soya milk to make yogurt?

Yes, you can, however if you are a Vegan, kindly have a look at our Vegan Yogurt Starter culture at https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B08KZS2Z4M . You can make yogurt using Soy, Almond, Cashew, or Coconut milk too.
