I learned the hard way that a lightening surge can get into your network via the Internet connection to your router. But how often do you have the right kind of ground connection nearby the entry point to your office suite. Our digital audio “blade” took a direct hit that “left” what looked like bullet holes into the charred IC chips. The repair was only $700.00, but it could have been much more, when the board alone was worth $8k. Now I just have to wait for the ground connection.

These surge protectors for ethernet are great! They reduce the noise in my room significantly. Combining these with other Tripp Lite products and a night light creates my favorite movie watching experience.
