Solid gate for pets and kids, but more semi-permanent than portable
I got this gate for my dogs so we can leave the door open on nice days without them running in and out. It works great once it’s set up, but there are a few things I wish I’d known before buying it. This isn’t the kind of gate you can pop in and out quickly. It’s more of a semi-permanent setup. You can remove it, but when you do, the end pieces will fall out, so it’s a bit of a hassle if you plan to move it often. If that’s your plan, you might want a one-piece gate instead. Once it’s installed though, it’s very sturdy. The pressure needs to be just right or the door won’t close properly, so make sure you measure your doorway and figure out which extenders you’ll need before setting it up. It took me a little trial and error to get everything aligned, but once I did, it fit perfectly. My doorway is 38 inches and I used both extenders. Now that it’s in place, it’s doing exactly what I wanted, the dogs can’t run out or bark every time someone walks by the backyard. Huge win! The gate door itself opens easily for adults, but it has a double-latch safety feature that would also make it great for babies or toddlers. Overall, once you get it set up, it’s sturdy and works really well. Just expect to spend a little time getting it right at first.

Great quality for the price
The gate looks super sturdy right out the package it’s very well made and I like that the frame is a solid metal the lock works great I love that it swings both ways and lock easily by being pushed close I feel like this gate had a ton of great features and a really good value. It fit great and was a very easy instillation I would definitely buy another one if I needed.

Awesome Gate! Highly recommend!
It’s outstanding, I’ve had the same one since 2019. I love it, and would highly recommend! Here’s a couple tips to make life easier. I purchased the baby gate wall protectors , it was 10 dollars for 4 , because I rent so wanted to add them for extra hold and protection, also your gate will arrive with zip ties holding the door closed perfectly, DO NOT CUT THESE ZIP TIES UNTIL GATE IS FIRMLY IN PLACE AND EXACTLY WHERE YOU WANT IT! It will make keeping the exact pressure perfect, and the gate so so easy to install! And perfectly even with no problems whatsoever. You can open and close with one hand, I cannot because I have arthritis in my hands, and lack coordination. Someone said in a review that the gate only swings one way, not true, at the bottom there is a plastic piece you can adjust to make it only open one way or the other way or both ways. I leave it so it can swing either way that’s up to you. Very sturdy, looks great, stays looking great!

Would purchase again; many negative reviews are user error
I bought the regular and extended sizes for two different areas of my house. The gates were easy to install and seem to work as described. I haven’t had any of the latch issues that other reviewers reported, but I just bought it, so we’ll see. I gave it 4 stars simply because I could not get the latch gap to be even, and I’m anal retentive so it drove me crazy. This could probably be fixed if I could tighten the bottom pressure bolts more, but my fingers just weren’t strong enough, and my pliers kept scratching up the plastic, so I gave up (I even tried wrapping the pliers in cloth to decrease damage, but then I couldn’t get a grip strong enough to turn them). Anyway, they used to just use regular metal bolts which made adjusting the pressure mounts way easier. Yes, the gray “bolts” look nicer, but the regular bolts were more functional. You could always switch the gray pieces out with regular bolts if you wanted to. I just installed these late at night and wanted it done. I may do that in the future at some point. All that being said, I would like to state that a good portion of the negative reviews on this gate are user error. The amount of people that don’t know how to measure or can’t read instructions baffles me. First off, assuming you have all the parts it says you’re supposed to have, if you measure your doorway correctly, and it says it will fit, it will. If it doesn’t, you either measured wrong or are mounting it wrong. One reviewer complaining that the gate didn’t fit their 38” doorway/stairway posted a picture of their measurement, but it didn’t actually show the entire step in the picture, so her evidence is null. Second, the latch looks crooked and does not connect when taken out of the box - this is normal for pressure mounted gates - always has been. Mount it correctly, and the gap will close. Third, a couple of people complained that the plastic inserts that you have to remove to add the extenders were “impossible to remove.” I removed them very easily by inserting the bolt and wiggling it out. Fourth, a couple of people complained that it was unsafe at the top of the stairs. Well, in all fairness, the manual warns that the gate should not be used at the top of stairs. You’re technically not supposed to use pressure mounted gates at the top of stairs period. So, think about what you’re installing the gate for before doing it. If you’re going to let your kid hang all over the gate, it’s probably not a good idea to mount it where they can fall down 15 stairs. Also, it’s always a good idea to double check the pressure bolts about once per month. Daily use will cause things to loosen; it’s just common sense. Anywho, as of right now, I would purchase these gates again if I needed to. If an issue turns up in the future, I will update my review!

Buy the double lock gate!
This gate was a life saver! My 2 year old figured out the single latch baby gate we previously had causing us to have to makeshift a lock that was a hassle to remove and reattach every time you walked through. I found this gate, at a great price with the double lock. So far he hasn’t figured out how to get through. Easy to install. Average size. Good quality and height.

Nice and sturdy!
Easy to install! Nice and sturdy! Got it to keep my dog out of the kitchen while we are cooking. She loves to run and slide on the kitchen floor. Easy to open and close.
