Great transmitter for the money
I love it. The transmitter works and feels great. I think the quality of the plastic and the molded side inserts is great. Way better than I expected. I have had this for several months. Part of me regrets not going ahead and buying the Tyrannis, but, it was an additional $40 I didn't want to spend. This transmitter is perfect for beginners getting into mini quads. If you have some extra cash, I would look at the $100 Tyrannis instead. The only reason is for the added features and wider use in the community. If you don't care about that, you won't be disappointed by this at all. I have never had an issue with range, but have only flown within 500ft of myself, so I can't speek to that. Connecting to the computer is super easy for sims, but it does use the on board AA batteries.

Best Entry Level Radio on the market.
I have owned this tedious for about 5 years now. It is an amazing radio and since the upgrade with dual rates and easier mixing. I started out with quads and moved to fix wing. I have had no issues. I also have a spectrum DX8 Gen 2, and a Radiomaster TX12. This radio is easier to use than the spektrum with many more receiver options at a better price point. I have never went out of range flying LOS. The added telemetry is something you only find in high end or open source transmitters. Even the $400 spektrum needs add ons for telemetry. Only the Radiomaster comes close in quality and value.

Good for beginners, nothing wrong with controller. Possibly very old stock from this vendor.
Good starter controller. Once I learn more and get better I'll probably want to upgrade but for an initial investment it gets the job done and looks good doing it. From everything I have read the newer version of this comes with the throttle spring already removed and the throttle tensioner installed. They also come with the LCD holder. This came with neither. I had to remove the throttle spring and make my own tensioner with some aluminum from a can. I have since ordered the LCD holder and correct tensioner from somewhere else since I couldn't find them here. It also ships with very old firmware. You'll have to search a little but the latest firmware can be found online. Once upgraded there is a new menu and many more options and features. I think this is very old stock but that doesn't take away from the controller itself. Just get the parts you need and the firmware and you'll have everything you were supposed to get. Sort of disappointed I didn't know all of this earlier, but live and learn.

Nice Controller, But I had to modify for Drone Simulator
This is a good controller for RC and for a Drone Simulator (Zephyr) that I use it for. Comes configured for RC Use meaning the UP/DOWN is not spring loaded to center like DJI drones are. I thought this controller came like that, but it did not. However, they have the parts for you to make it spring loaded, which I did. It involves removing the back cover and putting a rocker arm and spring into place on the axes. Not easy to do, attaching small spring is hardest part and I certainly needed magnification for my old eyes (71) to see, but if I can do it, most people can with youtube video guidance when you search.

This is the best controller under 150
For sixty bucks, this is a great value! I use it for a robot car; I only need gas and steer from the left/right sticks, but I also need the other switches to change various modes (whether in manual/auto drive mode, whether to turn on/off camera recording, e-brake, lights, adjustment, and so forth.) The receiver it comes with outputs 6 channels of PWM data, but it also has a serial port that outputs 10 channels of data at 115,200 bps. I find reading the serial data much more robust than PWM, anyway, so this is a fantastic option (google "ibus" to find the spec -- it's very simple!) The one caveat is that it eats batteries. Four AAs only last a few hours, which is a problem when using it on the bench for development. It has a USB input to use it as a USB game controller (!) but it still needs battery power to run, it doesn't run off USB when plugged in. There is no re-chargeable option, which I think is a real bummer. I ended up soldering in an external power input and plugged it into a 10000 mAh power bank.

BUY IT!
PROS: Excellent radio out of the box! Packed with far higher priced features of other transmitters. Also easy to modify! I purchased a base white model, disassembled & painted it (not recommend for the average Joe, just buy black if you don't have some previous skill in this area) I added 2 external antenna ( just a personal preference the internal antennas worked great btw and give the radio a great feel in small form factor) Added some thumbsticks from an Xbox controller (again, preference. I'm a thumber not a pincher) and used an old gopro mount for my eachine D800 fpv monitor/goggle with built in dvr & vx rx ALL THIS AT A FRACTION OF THE COST! CONS: Are few but I'll list them. The thumbsticks are actually a very pink color & unless you're into "pink" they gotta go! Also still waiting for a firmware update to include head tracking support as the radio has ppm mode as a menu option and the port is installed which rockets this already great product to the next level as soon as that head tracking firmware is available.

Nothing but success with it
I bought this for a decent range of 1000 meters. Very easy to control, and comfortable to hold. I thought the setup is pretty straight forward and it binds under a second. Looks good as well, I like the design, however it doesn't have the usual switches that transmitters have for setting trim along the joysticks, that will depend on how you want to program your remote though. There are two trigger buttons on the backside of the remote that you can program as well. This is the second transmitter/receiver pair that I have setup and I would recommend this set to anyone getting into the hobby. The only alteration I made to the controls was removing the spring to the throttle so it wouldn't auto center (the throttle), It still auto centers the Yaw. Has battery alarm for your drone as well, I would still recommend adding a warning buzzer though.

Depends on what you use it for
I bought this flash guy transmitter and additionally a 10 channel receiver to put in a top race excavator that I had installed a complete hydraulic conversion the controls for the tracks had absolutely no neutral to them and that was the only choice you had on the radio with the joysticks taking up so many of the other functions they controls on channel 7 and 8 had no neutral and as soon as you plug the battery in or turned on the switch the tracks would start rotating and you would operate the controls but could not get the tracks to stop going one way or the other but other than that the radio itself touch screen programmable in many aspects of the remote control system at very reasonably priced but for the very purpose I bought it for it was useless I will keep it anyway and use it on a machine that only requires five or six channels

Great product
Very good transmuter for less than half the price. The only problem, it is hard to configure for RF simulator. If you are going to use it on a Sim, better get another one. There plenty of them out there and many of them are free.

10ch transmitter sold with a 6ch receiver
This was bought as a gift, this gift was advertised as a 10 channel transmitter, which it is. Except it is sold as a combo with a 6 channel receiver, so you will only have access to 6 channels. Very disappointed with this product, the transmitter works well but I feel tricked because it can only operate on 6 channels due to the receiver.
