I have been wanting a little helper for some time.My family is tired of me asking them to help hold things while I solder.It is tough, a good little design, the only problem is that the alligator clips are on the cheap side, and made of inferior metal.The bend quite easily , so be careful.

Recibí una buena sorpresa, estoy comenzando a aprender a hacer soldaduras de estaño, así que me decidí por esta base, para ser sincero tiene buena terminación, fue fácil de armar y la luz y la lupa funcionan bien, lo único que salió flojo es el perno central donde se monta todos los soportes pero logre apretarlo dándole unas vueltas, las pinzas sujetan bien y no son tan débiles como leí en una reseña.Pueden comprar el producto!!

I'm happy with most of the quality of this product and it's a good value in that sense but the base is a little small and lightweight. That makes it kind of unstable and I don't have confidence in its ability to stay upright in use.I bought another brand at the same time as this one and the base was quite noticeably thicker and heavier which will help it remain stable. As nice as this one is it's possible to do better for the same money or slightly more.

It was exactly as described. Not a top quality product,but adequate for the money.

There's nothing special about, the magnifying isn't that great. The base could be wider, but I didn't have any issues with it. I properly secured it as I assembled it and it worked perfectly fine for the price

As others described, the product is a little loose, as to be expected for the price and the product style (bolts and screws). But it does do the job. The teeth dont grab too tight and its easy enough to adjust. The magnifying glass is way more useful than i first imagined, especially when working with small electronics, it essentially sees everything i cant, giving me a much clearer image of what im actually looking at. Trust me when i say you need a magnifier, which i did not agree with prior to using one. Probably for that alone id give it 3 stars. Id argue that most people have issue with this product because they apply too much pressure when holding the item they are working with, thinking this is supposed to replace an anvil or vice grip, which it does not. If your soldering and applying that much force, your doing it wrong. If you want a cheap item that will do its job as intened, purchase this item. If you have money to purchase a better set of helping hands, go for it, but i think this is overall perfectly suitable for most jobs in regards to soldering.

I bought this because I was in a rush to get some thing that I couldn’t find anywhere else, and I needed a quickly. The portion of this that holds your work in place for you is very poorly constructed and you can’t tighten the wing nuts enough to make it hold even the smallest piece of equipment in place, and the gooseneck does not stay where you put it and often times it doesn’t even allow you to line up with your work because it doesn’t bend that far, this was a total waste of money, and if you’re looking for anything good quality and plan on doing much soldering, this is not worth it

Came dissembled. Easy enough to put together but joints are not strong enough to hold a load. arms and clips need to be low enough to properly see what youre soldering. Overall seems plastic and some metal parts.
