Stretch Magic 5m Spool of Clear 1mm Cord, 1

The strength of the 1mm cord is very strong. I made a rosary bracelet over 2 years ago and it is still strong as the day I made it and I wear it daily. As for the knots, when done tying them dab the knot with clear nail polish and it will hold forever. I usually give it a dab, let it dry and do it again for good measure, then after it is completely dry I cut it with a fingernail clipper to get it close to the knot.. Great product, good price and super strong.

Easy to use

I've used Stretch Magic for many years to create simple jewelry. I love how easy it is to use. The only issue I've found is that it does break down over the course of several years. I've found that I need to re-string my jewelry every 5 years or so if I want to prevent breakage. For that reason, it's not a great value compared to other types of jewelry string. If you want something easy and simple, though, this stuff is the bomb! And if you don't keep your jewelry more than few years, you won't even notice the down side to it.

I am just trying Stretch Magic after seeing it used by jewelry makers on Facebook.

I didn't want to give it one star because in actuality I did hate it for what I bought it for. However, I can imagine it would work for other projects so I didn't think it fair to give it one star. It does have it's pros, but the cons make it impossible for me to use. It's easy to string beads on... no use for a needle. But it doesn't hold when I (try to) tie it off. I tried using glue over the know which was great... short term. Eventually the glue makes the cord brittle and it snaps. If you use it with clasps, it will be a great product. I need it for stretch bracelets and anklets. If anyone else has found a way to tie it off so it holds, will you disclose your secret?

Perfect for restringing my links of london sweetie bracelet. Feels strong. Make sure when knotting you pull the knot very tightly, then knot again (very tightly). You'll be surprised how strong this is. Since restringing I've really stretched it just to check the security, and its held absolutely fine. I'd advise maybe checking out some YouTube vids before attempting if you're a little unsure.

Non ci credevo all'inizio ma questo filo ha risolto i miei problemi, visto che il braccialetto che ho col tempo si era allargato e quindi dovevo sostituire il filo elastico, ed ho trovato questo che credetemi ha una tenuta super, ho fatto una prova a tirarlo con tutta forza ma per spezzarlo ce ne vuole, quindi consigliatissimo.
