Zoo Med (6 Pack) Aquatic Turtle Banquet Blocks

I have ordered these a number of times, and they always arrive in a timely manner. My turtle likes these blocks and he is very picky. I keep one in his tank at all times so he has something I know he can eat even if he refuses the other food I offer that day.

I place 1 block in the tank for a snack, in addition to red-leaf lettuce (only dark green veggie they will eat, and I've tested kale, swiss chard, etc.), anacharis, sword plants. As the blocks are nibbled on, fine debris spread in the tank little by little. It will dirty aquarium water a little bit faster, though that filter has to be changed eventually anyways. My turtles were tanked together with guppies, mollies, and loaches. As the turtle grew up they started trying to eat other critters. Their only companions now are each other and snails, which are pretty resilient to my turtles and help clean up the tank while not getting eaten. (Snails will crawl on to the blocks if hungry enough.)

I really like to feed those between regular food. They last a bit longer and keep them busy.

The media could not be loaded.  I use them occasionally for some extra calcium to help with the turtle’s shells. I’m not sure how it would be as part of a regular diet.

If you use these for your turtles and their tanks just get this pack. It’s much more efficient than purchasing a single one of these like I used to all the time. Money, time and effort saved. They do just what they are supposed to and my turtles love to eat and nibble on them. These will last me for months and months.

My turtle loves these. They last about seven days depending on whether or not she's eating her feelings. The feeder fish love them too. They do have pellets made into them which is a nice added bonus. With every pack you open, you get a starter pack of water conditioner for your turtle as well. Can't beat that for the price! :)

I suppose this may be a good product for a turtle only habitat, however I have a paludarium with shrimp and they copper unnecessarily used as a preservative is potentially deadly for them. Gave them away.
