How do you keep them in your hair

Your choice to keep or remove the little brushes. They help to grip hair but can also tangle it. While you are rolling the section (90 degree angle to scalp), keep guiding the hair inward to keep it within the boundaries of the roller. (I wish they were a little wider.) Secure it with one or two roller pins, which are big bobby pins, available most places. Conair and Goody make nice ones. They come in black or bronze on a card of 12 or so and are usually priced under $2. If you have a cowlick or put too much hair on a roller and it seems like it wants to slide off and interfere with other rollers, clip the uncooperative edge at the top of the roller with one of those old fashioned little clippie things—sorry I forget what they're called. They're silver, about an inch long. You pinch them at one end and they spring open to slide easily. They used to be used for pin curls. One more thing: if the roller is flopping around and doesn't want to stay close to your head, that's when you add another roller pin, in the same direction as the first but just far enough toward the turned-under side to stabilize it. I learned how to use these rollers SIXTY years ago, when I was 12, with my mother's stash. Just recently got some again to help with the expected challenges of "mature" (ha ha) hair. They do help.

Are these ok to use on med length hair?

Yes I use them for my long hair, just cut my hair shoulder length and I have more body. Easy to sleep in, I use large Bobby pins to hold in place.

Don't stay

Very bad quality i bought 2 and throw them away. Made from one layer only around the wire so cant be hold. Very disappointed.
