Plant Description From the original Boysenberry which is a mix of Raspberry, Blackberry, Loganberry and Dewberry. The berry is deep maroon color, purple and red and is large and sweet. The Boysenberry had it origins when George Darrow and Walter Knott tracked it down in overgrown California farm owned by Rudolph Boysen. Mr. Knott brought the vine back to health and started making jams and pastries out the fruit which is now a national brand. The vine is cold tolerant and can be grown in zones 6-9. How to Grow Most all edible plants grow well in Full Sun, a little shade won’t hurt. Boysenberry Plants can be planted in most healthy soils with normal pH to lower pH range 6-8. I recommend growing in a organic potting soil with fertilizer already added for your starter plant and then mix up your favorite type of medium when ready to be fully planted. Let your soil almost dry out then water 2-3 times a week when temperatures are below 80 degrees. When temperatures are above 80 degrees water daily to every other day.

Beautiful young plants!
I received 8 healthy young Boysenberry plants in a timely manner. I planted them in the morning where they receive afternoon sun (the Southern sun is too harsh for all day exposure), and they never skipped a beat (no wilting). They are planted with good well draining potting soil with sphagnum moss, perlite & mycorrhizae mixed in and a top layer of leaf mulch. I've found that Boysenberries like their feet kept cool. *Do not water leaves especially late in the day, Boysenberries can get black spot (fungal infection). My 2 & 3 yo Boysenberry plants (also recieved from this seller) are simply loaded with berries. I've also added "Berrytone" fertilizer this year, with the number of berries they're producing, they're going to need it. Don't look for many berries your first year, but the second will please you.Good luck, there's nothing better than Boysenberry ice cream.

Looking forward to boysenberries!
They arrived in such cute tiny little pots. But they were green and healthy. Now transplanted they have new growth. Cant wait until they are big enough to produce boysenberries!

Arrived in great condition
I ordered these online and was skeptical as to how they would arrive due to an extreme heat wave in my area. They arrived in great shape and only one plant needed a little TLC and was fine after two days. Will update review after the plants take hold and start producing

GREAT!
Planted them in larger pots until my raised bed is available, they are doing fabulous and look super healthy. I live in Virginia so I know I need to give them extra attention in the winter months.

Out of the 4 boysenberry plants they sent me 2 of them were totally healthy 2 were a little bit sick but that's normal considering I ask someone to ship me live plants lol.

Arrived fast, well packed, nice plants
Very healthy plants, arrived quickly, doing well. No bugs (unlike blueberries received). Very satisfied highly recommend. Of course it’s to early to know about quality of fruit yet but very happy with how they were packaged and leaves are vibrant green. Looking forward to growing them!!!
