Perfect for keeping the icky plastic shower liner off youy body when showering!
I bought this to keep the liner from hugging me when showering. This shower rod extends outside of the edge of the tub to keep the plastic liner away.It works great for that purpose.Pros; - It has 2 rods. One for the plastic liner and the other for the decorative curtain. I bought a clear plastic liner for more light whilst showering. - It was easy to install and one size fits all installations. - Both rods extend well past the edge of the tub to keep the plastic away from you.Cons; - The expansion joint stops the curtain rings from sliding over it. Every single ring will stop sliding at the joint and has to be lifted up and over the joint. Annoying. - The installation covers do not cover the holes from the old shower rod installation. It would have been nice to have included a seperate larger backplate to cover up old installations. (Kindof like how the NEST thermostat includes a seperate backplate...)

Read before hanging
The rod is very nice and sturdy. I would have gave it 5 stars it it wasn’t the for the multitude of tiny little screws and 3 or 4 allen wrenches and the plastic bracket covers. My installation was a little harder than most because I put a few inches below the ceiling. My problem, is that I like to change the curtains out often. I strongly suggest using clips to hang curtains so you can easily take them off because it’s a bitch taking that rod on and off without taking out the wall brackets. Seriously, when that things up there, you do not want to take it down.Should redesign to have it lock and release from bracket.

Would definitely recommend this product
I am so glad I went with the double bar rather than the single with double sided hooks. It looks great, it was easy to assemble and the hooks don't seem to catch easily on the joint where it extends. My only complaint is the instructions said to mount it inches higher than it should have been and not far enough back into the shower. So the dufus who put it up for me hung it so high the curtain didn't reach the tub and it protruded quite far into the room. Needless to say I have 4 extra screw holes in my tile. Eyeball it, don't follow the instructions necessarily when mounting it.

Nice looking, easy to install, material quality ok
The rods were fairly thin metal material, so I wouldn’t hang a very heavy shower curtain or wet towels on them (anchoring brackets were solid though). It was pretty easy to install though and the instructions were clear. The covering caps were pretty flimsy, but overall I’m OK with it, and I think it looks good. It’s not one of the high use bathrooms in the house so for the value and the look, it will do just fine.

Looks and feels like aluminum
Very disappointed in overall quality. I thought I ordered a chrome shower rod... what I got is something that doesn't look chrome but rather an aluminum finish.... looks and feels very cheap. It is not sturdy like an average shower rod... originally I bought a Moen Chrome double rod but the end piece did not fit in my shower so I ended up buying this one... I'm attaching a picture that shows part of the shower rod and my CHROME shower head so you can see that this showe rod is not actually chrome... it looks and feels like aluminum.
