Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula Small Bite Chicken Dry Dog Food, 15 lb

Excellent food and price for my Dachshund. She’s very picky and will eat this food.

I switched to Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula Small Bite for my dog, and it’s been a great choice. The kibble size is just right for smaller mouths, making it easy to chew without crumbling into dust. My dog adjusted quickly and seems to really enjoy the taste—no coaxing needed at mealtime. What I like most is the ingredient list. It uses real chicken as the first ingredient, with no by-product meals, artificial flavors, or preservatives. The formula also includes wholesome grains, veggies, and added vitamins, which makes me feel better about what my dog is eating. Pros: Smaller kibble size perfect for small dogs High-quality ingredients with real chicken as the first ingredient No artificial additives or fillers My dog loves the taste and finishes every bowl Cons: A little pricier than some big-box brands Strong smell when you first open the bag (my dog loves it, but it’s noticeable) Overall, this is a premium dog food that delivers on both quality and taste. It’s a solid option if you want something healthier for your small-breed pup.

My dog absolutely loves this food! The small bites are perfect for him, and apparently dinner is now a full family event because he insists that we watch him eat. 😂 He’ll look at us like, “Are you watching?” before he starts chowing down. He cleans his bowl every time, so I’d say Blue Buffalo has definitely earned his approval. Great food, happy dog, and apparently we’ve been promoted to dinner-time audience. 5 stars!

Pups love the small bite food!

I do like that this is high quality dog food for my babies. They love the taste but especially love that the pieces are very small for their small mouths. The combination of tiny bites in a large quantity bag is a big plus! Just because a dog prefers small bites doesn't mean that they only eat 5lbs of food a month and its nice to find it in the larger bag. My dogs not only live the taste but I love that their digestive systems seem to regulate better when feeding this food and I don't worry about their nutrition. The draw back is that this food has steadily increased in price making it hard to justify the purchase.

Good product and good price. Order all the time

This food caused my beautiful baby much distress as well as it scared me for her. I first gave it to her on January 12 2026. She threw up all night and had very wet poop. She continued to throw up all the water she drank all morning. It took 4 days of eating boiled chicken &rice for her to hold down food. This Blue Buffalo almost killed my dog. I feel so bad because I gave it to her .Our dogs trust us, and I have failed. Never again will I give her Blue Buffalo. This is not a good brand anymore. I hope that my review and others will save some other dogs, that their owners will stay away from this bad bad food. Thank you for reading this.
