After several years of ownership and use, my Bose QC15 headband was starting to flake away. It got so bad that it appeared like I had black dandruff every time I took off my headphones... far from ideal. Originally, I looked for an OEM replacement, but Bose didn't offer one. I was determined to replace the headband in such a way that it was like factory brand new, but when I discovered that the only way to make that happen was to get out your soldering iron, I decided it was a bridge too far.So, on to Plan B. There are plenty of replacement headbands out there, but most were downright awful... just a covered foam cushion that you wrapped around the old headband... I might as well have wrapped it in duct tape.Finally, I landed on Accessory House's offering. No, it doesn't give me the FACTORY look... it has that zipper seam down the middle and those two little "ears" as I called them on each side. But, it looked like the best of the options, so I made my purchase.Installation was very easy. BE SURE to attack the old headband from the SIDE.. NOT the TOP, or you risk cutting the connecting wire. Once removed, the new headband went right in its place, zipped up easily (with the included paper clip as a handle... nice touch), and the new plastic covers replace the old ones, concealing the top and bottom of the zipper. I should also mention that the rest of the zipper is concealed behind two flaps of leather, so you don't see the zipper at all once installation is complete.The new headband is not as soft as the old headband, but it does seem to be MUCH more sturdy. Time will tell if I get as many years out of it. Comfort is a non-issue because, let's be honest, I have headphones with METAL headbands, and they're quite comfortable as well. If you're BALD, maybe this would be a concern, otherwise, no.One unexpected benefit from this replacement is that the tabs that cover the zipper ends give you a nice place to put your thumbs when extending or collapsing the adjustment... that's a nice touch.There have been some reviewers that say that this headband does not fit the QC15. I can say categorically that the headband DOES fit and it fits perfectly. Either those reviewers received a defective product, or they lacked basic mechanical skills. There is one slightly tricky step of making sure a metal shim lines up with the screw holes before you fasten them down, but otherwise installation is a breeze.Overall, this is a very high quality product that looks great and seems to be very durable. At the very least... NO MORE BLACK DANDRUFF! :)

I had just about decided to give up on my old QC15s because all the replacement headbands are basically just covers for the disintegrating old ones which weren't really designed to be removed. These actually do fully replace the old headband and they look, if not quite OEM, pretty good, especially if you're not up clost and examining them and are very comfortable.I think they must have changed the design a little at some point since I noticed some reviews commenting on a sort of zipper line on the top - mine just attached with heavy-duty velcro and it looks pretty seamless.Install was a little fussy compared to say the earpads, but still pretty easy to do. The hardest bit was just lining up the velcro and getting the clips screwed back on. It took maybe 5-10 minutes and now I don't have little bits of disentigrating vinyl in my hair when I use my headphones. I got these along with the Wicked Comfort Upgraded Ear Pads and together they've extended my headset life another few years.

I watched the video many times and it was very helpful. It worked for my Bose headset replacement but only one small complaint. The replacement cushion was a tad bit too long. I had to cut about a half inch off the end so my clips would fit back on.

This is an excellent replacement for the original. It is as comfortable. The problem with the original Bose cushion pad is that it deteriorates after a few years and pieces of it start flaking off.One caveat about this cushion pad: it will be obvious that this is not the original pad because it has a seam on top that hides the zipper you use to install it, and the end clips are different because they are designed to fit over the ends of the zipper. The original Bose headband was installed during manufacturing process and was installed by slipping it on the headband bar before one (or both) of the earphones were attached. To install this replacement, you must cut the original headband pad off of the headset and then zip this one over the headband bar. (Otherwise you would have to remove one of the headphones; which may not be easy if the connections to the main wire that runs through the headband bar are soldered in place.)However, although it is different, it looks fine, most people won't know the difference, and it has no effect on the functionality of the headset.As for installation, I thought it would be difficult since the instructions refer to you a video that demonstrates the installation process. (I've found that generally, if a video is required that is not indicative of an easy installation.) It turns out that installation is very easy and the video gives you some tips that make it even easier.As for the price: yeah, this is not the cheapest alternative out there; but, in my opinion it is well made, a smart design, looks good, and you don't want a cheap-looking replacement for a Bose product. Some of the cheaper products out there just cover up the old pad. This is a legitimate replacement that is at least equal in quality to the original.

Bose will sell you earcups but no headband. No problem. This is a quality, easy to install product. I am impressed.

Das Polster lässt sich super einfach auf den Bügel des QC15 montieren. Man sollte sich aber vorher unbedingt das Video dazu auf YouTube ansehen. Die Qualität scheint sehr gut zu sein, die Naht des Reißverschluss stört in der Optik überhaupt nicht, ebenso wie die Kunststoff-Klammern, die das Polster fixieren.Ich finde es super, dass man so das Original-Bügelpolster austauschen kann (das sich wohl generell sehr schnell auflöst bei diesem Kopfhörer-Modell), auch wenn Bose das nicht anbietet. Schon etwas verwunderlich, bei einem 300 Euro-Kopfhörer dies nicht anzubieten...

Amazon is pretty reliable in my experience but it's still often a gamble to know whether the product will be of good quality, or even if it will fit. I'm happy to say that this product fulfilled all my expectations and more. Negatives? Ok so the plastic lugs are bigger than the originals and it's not the cheapest product but then my headphones were unusable unless I wanted to have a layer of what looked like black dandruff all over me. So for about £15 it's a bargain to have them back in A1 condition. The band is a bit fiddly to fit but they warn you clearly about this and even offer a refund if you don't want to try. The customer support is excellent and the youtube video link they send tells you exactly how to fit it. It took me about 5 minutes and I had no problems. It now looks like new again and I have saved the price of some new Bose headphones. To add to this I've had a message asking if everything is ok with the product so the makers clearly care about customer satisfaction. Highly recommended.
