So far … hard to fault it for the price! Edit: read to the end for star loss reasoning.
We purchased this for my wife who needed 32GB RAM, decent 8 core processor and a 1TB SSD. Looking elsewhere at regular-sized versions with the same specs, it seemed we would have to pay £1,500 to £2,000. Wow, I knew prices were high but that was a shock. Anyway, despite never having had a mini PC, we took a chance and purchased this for £949.99. It turned up overnight - way to go Amazon.Firstly, despite seeing the pictures beforehand, I was amazed at how small this machine is. I believe there may be room for another SSD also as one included has 1TB nvme drive and I believe there is space for a SATA SSD also - haven’t opened and so can’t confirm. I can confirm that It can be upgraded to Windows 11 Pro as this was the first thing I did. Please note that it won’t update to Win 11 Pro until you allow it to upgrade to Windows 11 Home first. This is a free upgrade that you can prompt in Windows Update. Obviously, you have to pay for the Win 11 Pro version. Next, I added MS Office Pro and then transferred all of my wife’s data/programs over.So thoughts after 1 week:Pros:PRICE!!!Tiny footprint on desk.Fast and outperforming previous machine (i7 4-core laptop, 16GB, SSD/HDD mix) massively.Doesn’t get hot even under high workloads despite so much gear in tiny box.Lots of ports given size.Hooked up to 3 monitors and running seamlessly.Cons:There is some fan noise even after changing bios to ‘Quiet’ mode and adjusting processor power settings as suggested by others. These do help and have made it quieter and my wife doesn’t even notice it. Certainly quieter than the laptop it is replacing. If you’re highly sensitive to such things though you may wish to consider it.Power button easily pressed by mistake. Badly positioned top-right corner and over sensitive to touch.Dual function mic/sound out 3.5mm jack port not ideal - note: there is no internal speaker.Final thought:For £949.99 I am amazed at just how powerful this thing is. My only real concern is whether it will last as long as a similarly-specced desktop/laptop. Highly recommended after 1-week.Update 29Mar22: Every time the PN51 wakes from sleep mode, the 5G wi-fi will not connect properly and gives the 'no internet' message. The 2.4G still works perfectly. Can't say if this is the result of updating to Windows 11 Pro (as I used an ethernet connection) but am currently trying various updated Wi-Fi Network drivers for the Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz card. So far no luck which is a bit of a downer but I'm not giving up nor removing a star yet. I will update again after success/failure.Update later 29Mar22: Tried every driver - all clean installs - that I could get from Intel and Asus but none made a difference. Resetting the network also didn’t work. Perhaps a future update will help as I have come across others online with the same issues with this wireless network card on other devices. Sorry but a star has to go.

Compact and Powerful Mini-PC
The Asus PN51 has a more up to date processor and higher spec than many of the equivalent Mini-PCs available and I wanted something more flexible than replacing a dead Laptop with like for like. I also wanted a Windows 11 compatible PC for future proofing (and so when my mother in law phones up for the inevitable tech support I have some hope of helping as her new PC came with Windows 11 pre-installed).Maybe it was the device or perhaps something strange in the upgrade to Windows 11, but the rear USB ports refused to wake the PC from sleep (but otherwise they worked fine), but the front one did. After hours of driver fixes, reboots and reinstallations of Windows, it was still not working properly and wondered if it was an issue with the PN51 components. After a fruitless discussion with Asus support, I decided to return to Amazon for a replacement and the 2nd PN51 I received works perfectly in Windows 11 with no hardware issues. Glad I went for the replacement instead of a refund. In terms of pros and cons:Pros:1 - Compact size and suitable for home use (vs only targeted at business users)2 - Comes with a (relatively) new AMD chip not an old one from 3 years ago3 - Plenty of storage and room for an additional SSD.4 - Good connectivity options for multiple displays5 - Latest Wifi and Bluetooth support (many of the mini PCs have older cards)6 - Fast Boot performance (for a desktop).7 - Easy to set up and ready for Windows 11Cons:1 - Not exactly cheap (but cheaper on Amazon than elsewhere)2 - Fan can be very noisy under even light loads (I have activated quiet mode in the BIOS, but not played around with AMD chip settings). Could be intrusive if you intend to play games (not what I got it for)In summary:Happy with it - like the small size and can be taken anywhere (if you really wanted to...). I am not sure if the premium price is worth it (but have nothing to compare it with, so it might be.....), but at least it should last a while given the more up to date components.

It would have been five stars but for one slihgt problem.
This is a superb machine, all the power of a large desktop in a tiny format. It is lightning fast, and virtually silent. Max 90 Watt power consumption is also good in these high energy prices times. The onboard sound and graphics are excellent. Overall, this is a superb machine, which I would not hesitate to recommend. Why only four stars then? The combined mic/speakers port is flaky. It works with one set of speakers, but not the ones I want to use. I got round the problem by buying a USB C to 3.5mm cable, this works perfectly, but ties up a USB C port permanently, and really on a machine costing just short of £1000.00 rather shoddy. if I could have give 4.75 stars I would have.

Was time I upgraded, and glad I found this!
Did plenty of research when looking to upgrade from using my 9 year old laptop. This was the best I found, and I felt the price was reasonable for what I get. Initially had difficulties getting two monitors to work, and knew it is supposed to support four - each monitor would work individually, but not when both plugged in (one to HDMI, one to DisplayPort) - in the end, downloading the AMD chipset drivers was what was needed. If I were to change one thing about it, it would be that there would be at least a tiny speaker inside (phones manage it!) so there could be at least some audio feedback if no speaker was plugged in or connected.Bought it on Amazon Warehouse - the packaging was sellotaped together, but the product itself is good as new. I will anyway put my own scratches on the casing over time!

Jewel of a PC
I'd like to give this 5 stars but two things prevent me:1 - It it quite expensive for what you get, what you get is very nice but you pay for it; and2 - it is noisier than I expected. I knew the machine had a fan so was not silent, but I thought it would be about as loud as a normal laptop, which is generally almost silent. The Asus whirrs away constantly even when doing low intensits tasks like email.
