I have a black car; using a chamois did not remove all the water spots. This dryer evaporates the remaining water leaving the surface dry. Also dries all the joints and crevasse. Some observations:1. On the high heat setting, the hose can reach up to 130F. At that temperature, the hose becomes more pliable and risks getting crushed when stepped on.2. After use on the heat setting, I ran the blower with the heat off to cool the hose. Some have complained the hose melts after use.

Always thought these things were a bit of a joke.But how wrong. The amount of hidden water it blows out of motorbikes.

I purchased this dryer for detailing my Harley and was kind of skeptical considering it was only $100. I received the package next day. The box said China on it, that was my first eye roll, then I opened the box and did my second eye roll because it was quite small. The first thing I noticed was the long heavy duty cord, then I was happy to see that the hose was also heavy and very flexible. I hooked everything up to check it out and it has pretty impressive velocity + heat for such a small unit. For $100 it was a great buy! :)
