Pages & Co.: The Lost Fairy Tales

A Great Read!
Another great book. My 8 yo and I read this independently. She liked the first in the series better, though I thought that this book had an intriguing plot. We liked that the story continued from the first book and contained original characters, as well as new. Like the first in the series, this story also occurs in Europe with many cultural references that were fun to Research & discuss. My child Was disappointed that the book ended in a cliff hanger and unlike the first book, didn’t contain an excerpt from the (anticipated) next book in the series. Looking forward to the next in the series. This is available at other retailers for less , but as usual, Amazon delivered with a swiftness and in great condition... worth the extra $

Love this series!!
Book about bookstore/library + Magic + Coming of Age = Pages & Co. series!I think this month I will set a record for 5-star reviews!!For those unfamiliar with the series, Pages & Co. follows Tilly, a young girl who lives with her grandparents. They own a bookshop. She begins to receive strange visits from individuals she has known all her life, but have never actually met! Turns out, she and her family have an extremely unique gift! For those who have already read the first, this book picks up soon after the last left off. A new librarian needs to be elected, Tilly is trying to find a way to build a relationship with her mum, and she is going spend the Christmas holiday with Oskar’s family in Paris!I fell in love with Tilly & The Bookwanderers when I read it and this book is just as FANTABULOUS—maybe even more so because you already know the characters intimately, so no fussing about. We meet new characters , real and fictional, and have a favorite literary character from the first return. Anna does a superb job of capturing the magic in reading and of a good bookstore or library, the moodiness of tweens as they grow up, and the sting of betrayal!! I also love (promise this isn’t a spoiler!) that she points out fairy tales have had different endings as the tale is passed on, I had not realized that! There is a cliffhanger and I am DESPERATELY awaiting the copy of the third I preordered ages ago!Buy this (actually, buy Tilly & The Bookwanderers first!) for yourself or anyone who has ever wished they could meet their literary friends in person! Or, if you’re twisted, for someone who swears TV and movie characters are better than book characters.

Great book for tweens
My 12 year old daughter loves this series. She read all 3 books rather quickly and isn't usually one who gets into books (she more reads out of necessity for AR points at school). But this series was able to capture her. She got the first one as a gift from a family member who just knew I guess.

Diving into books headfirst
For a child to consider the possibility of falling into a book and having tea with the three bears, or to see a different side of Rapunzel is magic indeed. And since I once gave a lift to the chief archivist at the LOC on a dark and stormy night, I eagerly await the next volume. I have shared this book with my quite grown daughter and my young grandnieces. We are all fans.

Well written
I bought book for my granddaughter. She loves the adventures and characters. She is an advanced second grader, but there were a lot of words we had to look up in each chapter.

Very unique take on Fairy Tales.
The twists and turns made the story line fun to follow. Really like the interaction between the 2 main characters, Tilley & Oskar.
