Great Product!
This is a very nice product! I have never had a box spring encasing before and it is GREAT! I was afraid it would be hard to put on, but it slid on easily! My husband and and I put these on together—I think two people definitely makes the job easier. I was also very pleased at the secure zipper with Velcro! I think it also makes our boxsprings look cleaner and more tailored! A great product at a great price.

Precaution, Prevention, Defense or Battlefield.
I left this feedback for all the items I purchased and listed here in prevention of BED BUGS. I live in a apartment building. 10 years ago in the city I live in I never heard any mention of bedbugs. Now I hear it everywhere. I purchased the following just as a precaution. Hospitology Sleep Defense System Waterproof/Dust Mite Proof Pillow Encasement, Standard, Set of 2 Hospitology Sleep Defense System Waterproof/Bed Bug Proof Mattress Encasement,80-Inch by 60-Inch, Queen Hospitology Sleep Defense System Bed Bug Proof Box Spring Encasement, 80-Inch by 60-Inch, Queen BEAP 10013 4-Pack Detector Bed Bug Coaster Trap Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade Pest Pistol Mineral Oil I read online many, many, many different suggesting and opinions. These are most popular ideas, and I agree with them. My bed is brand new and I wanted some protection. Every thing listed I purchased on Amazon is good quality and no complaints. I was very nervous the Hospitality Sleep Defense items would have a plastic feel, but it is not the case. The Hospitality Sleep Defense for the pillows and bed have a nice soft and smooth feel to them. They make my bed and pillows feel smoother and softer. They are a good quality and feel like they will last a long time and not rip. They are very big for even the biggest of mattresses or box springs. First of all the Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade box i received is big. I used this for my entire apartment and still have more then half left in the box. Using Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade, and Pest Pistol (online comments are you can also use empty plastic ketchup and mustard bottles) I dusted all long the walls under the carpet (use a dollar store paintbrush to keep it nice and neat), and in some places I lifted the carpet up and sprayed a little on the carpet tacs that hold the carpet in place. You do not have to spray it heavy, only a light coating. Then I took the electrical cover panels and sprayed inside the walls, USE CAUTION, TURN OFF THE ELECTRICAL PANEL SUPPLY. You might want to consider wearing a dollar store face mask, the Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade will blow around a little, if you get carried away with it. Make sure you spray into all holes and crevasses (even in the bathroom) behind the medicine cabinet if there are gaps, in the trimming along the walls, closets, everywhere!!! Every room, every space!!!!!!!. Online reports and comments are that bed bug like hiding behind the medicine cabinet in the bathroom, behind mirrors or photos hanging on walls, dressers, dressers drawers, light shades. I even sprayed a little on my bed frame. Keep in mind, if the Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade gets wet, it is useless and you will have to reapply it. Also note, if you shampoo your rugs a couple times a year, like me, you may have to reapply Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade after your rugs dry. Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade kills all kinds of bugs, cutting into their hard shell bodies and sticks into their joints. This definitely gives me peace of mind when I sleep or laying in my bed during the day. Bed bugs usually feed in the middle of the night, but if they get hungry they will come out all times of the day. Isolate your bed from the walls and the floors. Only have the legs of your bed touching the floor. Keep blankets from touching the walls and floor. Nothing should be touching your walls or floor. ISOLATION! Computer power cords and cell phone cords should not be on your bed when you sleep. Although there are online reports of bedbugs climbing up to the ceiling and falling down/jumping onto beds, I am not that paranoid. Because it is a death sentence for them, they cannot escape or live in the mattress or lay eggs in the mattress because of the Hospitality Sleep Defense. Always make sure you wash and dry your blankets and sheets every week. Dry for at least 20-30 minutes on hot. BEAP 10013 4-Pack Detector Bed Bug Coaster Trap are very strong and very big. I was very surprised! I was nervous, I have a QUEEN size bed with wheels under each leg. But they fit with room to spare. Use the Mineral Oil in the outer trench of the Coasters. Bed Bugs cannot swim in it, they sink to the bottom and drowns them. But dummy me, my queen bed frame has 5 legs, one leg to support the middle of the bed. I used them on my sofa also. Good luck if you find yourself with bedbugs or using these as a prevention and defense. If you do not have the time or energy, you can hire an exterminator which will cost thousands and thousands of dollars. I am the type of person I do not like to use pesticides in my apartment unless I have to. I never use those insect fumigators, they spray pesticides everywhere and you will eventually absorb them into your skin, from the floors and furniture. If you already have bed bugs, I suggest vacuuming every inch of your bed, on your bed, box, and frame head board. Then do your furniture, sofa and recliners. Sofas, couches and recliners are much harder to eradicate bedbugs from, you might want to think about trashing it. Please, before you trash your furniture, damage your furniture so no one else takes it and gets a bedbug nightmare. When you are finished vacuuming, remove the bag, put in a plastic trash bag and TAPE IT SHUT and put outside away from your house in a trash can. They start spraying the Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade everywhere. Bed Bugs are smart creatures, they are very good at hiding until they are hungry. And they will search you out like a blood hound dog. Good luck!

Quality product
Soft, silky, easy to put on, easy to zip. It's like a fabric--it's not plasticky or noisy. We stand the box springs on end, (the end that will be at the bottom of your bed near your feet when you replace the box springs on the bed frame). Place the box springs close to the end of the bed, but leaning backwards away from the bed just a bit, resting against something like a dresser. We use two step ladders, positioning one on either side of the box springs (the short side, that is usually around 11 to 13 in thick). We each stand on a step ladder to get up above the box springs. We then gather the material of the encasement at the open end, in the left hand, placing the open end of the encasement over the top end of the box springs. Keep pulling over and down with your left hand while pulling the encasement up and over the end of the box spring with your right hand, so that gravity lets the encasement slide down over each side of the box springs. When the encasement is fully over the end and coveringthe box springs, gently allow the box springs to fall down partially over the bed frame. Zip the encasement shut and then push the box springs fullyfully into the bed frame.

Excellent Purchase, Holding Up Well.... See Photo~
We bought these Sleep Defense System - "Bed Bug Proof" Box Spring Encasement - 60-Inch by 80-inch, Queen , Hospitology Sleep Defense System Waterproof / Dust Mite Proof Pillow Encasement, Set of 2, 20-Inch by 26-Inch, Standard , and Hospitology Sleep Defense System Waterproof / Dust Mite Proof Pillow Encasement, Set of 2, 20-Inch by 36-Inch, King 14 months ago and are extremely pleased with them... I'll start by saying that we don't have bed bugs or anything of the likes. I bought these because my husband drools so our pillows were yellowing faster than I'd have liked. Washing pillows is added laundry loads I don't care for. First off, our pillows no longer yellow. We use these underneath our ppillowcases and wash them less often than the pillowcases we change more frequently. Our pillows stay clean and fresh looking. I haven't tested them for being truly waterproof but for me, problem solved. Second, these wash up better than pillowcases. If I do spill something on them (I do coffee in bed sometimes and can be a clutz at times), I don't need to use bleach. Stains seem to come up easily without stain removers. Who doesn't love less effort? Third, I like that the zippers are covered by elastic at the ends. This way, the zippers aren't exposed in the wash and tearing up other items. I'd read reviews saying theirs had issues. Ours the elastic is tight and I have to use two hands but the zipper does fully jam under the elastic. Lastly, on the box spring encasement, we used ours for while in storage for 8 months. The thing was pretty dirty but protected our box spring wonderfully. I was amazed that the thing came out white like new after one wash without any stain removal products. I wish they made one that fits our 15" deep mattress with pillow top! My one recommendation would be to remember the pillowcases are sold in sets of two! I'd placed these on my wishlist and when I ordered them forgot they were two packs. I gifted our extras to family members and friends because we think they're a worthwhile investment and we got a great value for buying more. Everyone is loving them and they're holding up well. Uploading a photo of the zipper to explain what I mean from my third point. Smile. Hope this is helpful!

From the box to the box spring
I purchased this along with the Twin Mattress Sleep Defense System. Like it, so far I'm liking it and didn't have any problems out of the package since realizing BB hitched a ride home from work that someone brought with them. And like the mattress encasement, while not as easy or quick for one person to fit on a bed, it is doable. Like the mattress encasement there were no holes, tears, or any other problems out of the package as some other people came across. I did notice a slight orange discoloration on the inside which I'm assuming came from the orange colored tag also inside the encasement. This did not show on the outside of the encasement. There are only 2 things concern me, but both are not really a huge issue. First as some people have mentioned, the casing can be a little loose. I didn't notice this when putting it on the box spring standing up as the size stated it was to fit a box spring of 9" in height, which is what I have. Once I put it on and put the box spring on the frame, I thought I was done and protected. Then I looked under the bed and noticed that it was sagging down about 6-7" and touching the floor. The bed frame I have and most people to is just the four sided one with noting in the middle. This probably wouldn't be an issue if there were 2 more horizontal bars and one or two vertical bars in the middle. Not wanting to McGuyver it or take it back off the frame, I just lifted the box spring up a little and pulled it tight in 3 places so it didn't sag all that much. I have about 5-6" of space between the floor and the part that sags down which is fine for me as I don't store things under my bed. For others that do, you might want to take this in to consideration. Some Ductape placed on the bed frame from side to side in a few places spaced out would fix this in a jiff. The other part is the zipper. Once zipped up you use a zip tie to pull the zipper tight and keep it zipped up with a velcro tab over top. While this of course can be improved, I don't really have an issue of it failing or prevent BB from getting in or out of the box spring. Others have said that they find BB under the velcro tab, so before I put on the zip tie I puffed a little CimeXa dust on the inside and then a little on the outside once zip tied and then applied the velcro over the zipper. That should help prevent any BB from hiding there and if they do, the CimeXa dust should kill them. So far a solid product with no problems other than the two mentioned above, but will update this review if I do come across any later.

Excellent tool
I'm early on in my fight against bed bugs but so far ai definitely recommend them. They feel high quality and will easily stand up to ears of use. They seal securely and fit very well. They're hard to get on but no more hard than other similar products. They're comfortable paired with your regular bedding and don't have weird texture or noises. Definitely recommend.
