soft, and continued to impress with the compress
I love these socks. I read reviews where others got a discount and talked about how soft and comfortable etc ...and I COULDN'T believe it. But it was true, the CopperJoint Compression Socks are soft, comfortable and I love them. I wasn't given anything free or any discount either for my opinion. I had several years experience with drugstore Jobst dress socks (8-14 mmHg )that i wore for evenings where I'm a volunteer usher and stand for up to four hours constantly in one small area (no walking around), after putting in a full 8 hr day at my regular job. After the volunteer shift is up, I can't wait to take off the Jobst because they dig into my flesh at the top band, or bunch up at the ankle and cut into my skin leaving a deep red line, and are uncomfortable. I was using Jobst to ease the discomfort of standing long hours. I had no issues to medically required use of them. I bought these CopperJoint socks because for the first time ever I came back from a vacation with swollen lower legs that were a shocking unpleasant surprise. I ordered a bunch of compression socks and the first one delivered with amazon prime was CopperJoint, so it was the first one I put on after a full night of sleeping with my legs up. I was determined to squish my legs back into the shape they were prior to the vacation, and get rid of the foreign poofiness. I followed the method of putting them on by reaching inside, grabbing the heal and pulling the leg part inside out over the foot part - see the video posted by the other reviewer - it made putting these on so simple and slide on with no struggle at all) . They were soft, and they were comfortable and they had compression. The knit is like a regular sock, not thin like the Jobst dress sock, and that may be why they don't bunch up to dig into your flesh. The top band was perfect, it also was very comfortable and didn't dig into my skin. But I just put them on and I was eager to see how fast I'd want to take them off after wearing them to work. The product web page description says 15-20 mmHG compression, Then there's some fancy talk about copper and I'm not up to speed about why that's important. What did catch my eye was the anti-odor claim of the copper. So once in the socks I went for my Crocs - the rainy day ones with no holes in the shoe, just the sling back. If you've got these kind of Crocs, then you know what happens in them odor-wise with ordinary socks. I have to admit that I know how bad my Crocs get with ordinary socks and how I have to air them out for days after a wear (first timer with no-hole Crocs!). The CopperJoint socks didn't stink. After work I still kept them on. In fact, at bed time, I decided not to take them off and only took them off to shower and put them back on again. I decided to really put them to the test and wear the Crocs two days in a row in the same socks. End of day- no stink. Wore them again to sleep. Determined to see their breaking point I continued to wear the no-hole Crocs every day for a week with taking these socks off for shower. After about four days of constant wear I didn't wear them to bed because my legs were back in normal shape and felt great. But for the full week with the same socks and the same Crocs i tried to break the CopperJoint socks odor resistance. It never happened. The socks felt great, soft, and continued to impress with the compress for the full week. I won't be testing the CopperJoint like this further, they passed my curiosity test. I'm going to try the other socks I got now to compare comfort . Final thought is that I absolutely would buy this again because it compressed, felt great and has stink protection. I also will hope they start making no-show socks for high heels with their copper technology, that would we awesome for all-day odor-free wear. updated review 3/2020 - I love these socks, they maintained their compression and are well-made. I have several pair that I wear so that i don't have to go any days without it. The compression really makes a difference to keep legs comfortable with standing long times updated review 6/2021 What happened? There something different about the way the socks were made, they are now tight at the top band and not comfortable right out of the box. My older socks are now more precious to be saved and amde to last as long as I can because the newer manufactured ones are not as good

Great compression socks!!!
Feel good on! I have a lil thicker calve so I purchased the medium and they feel good and tight without being too tight.

A little short, but I do like them. Add some designs and make them longer and I'll buy them.
The GOOD: Love 'em. They are ugly in an "in your face" manner. Unlike my medical socks, these look like you don't have to wear them, but want to. There are several brands whose XL size I simply cannot get on with slightly swollen ankles. These go on very smoothly, while doing the job of keeping down the swelling. They are mostly comfortable, with smooth compression. The BAD: They are just a little short, but they are called "sock"s, after all. Unlike my medical "calf length", which I must fold over, these are tight below the knee, constricting, instead of compressing the top of the calf. Not so good for tall guys. I'm 6' 2". So, when I take them off, they leave a fairly deep ring around the calf, 2 inches below the knee. I wear these to improve circulation, rather than to stop it. OVERALL: Wish they would come up with some new designs and make them longer. I would buy them.

Foot portion is way too short!!
The socks themselves seem okay. However, the sizing is way off!! I wear a ladies size 8 shoe and ordered the Medium sock to fit size 8.5. The foot portion was so short that the heel of the sock only went to the arch of my foot. My husband ordered a 2XL to fit mens size 11 (or ladies size 13). This size 2XL was barely long enough in the foot portion to fit my ladies size 8 foot/

Beware: Runs small for women
First want to say that the compression and quality are excellent. I ordered the Large/Extra Large size based on the calf circumference of 17" and that I wear between a size 10-11 women's shoe. This size says based on average Women's shoe size. As you can see in the picture, I barely was able to get the heel guard over the heel and I can vouch for the fact that my smaller toes are curled uncomfortably. If I reorder, I will need to try the plus size which is unfortunate as the compression and size over the calf are excellent. Maybe this size was really not make for a US women's size 5"-12.5" shoe size. Another oddity is that the Womens Small Medium says 6" - 9.5. You are probably wondering like me why the Small starts with a women's size 6 and the large starts with a size 5. Likely poor editing of the info in the photos. I feel like maybe this is a product that is not made with US in mind as I noticed that the shoe sizes for small/medium and large/extra large have the inch sign (") after the sizes which we do not use in the US.

The Best Quality Compression Socks.
I have tried other Compression Socks, but these are the best. They are comfy and very effective in my legs. After an ablation I got allergy in my body due to the glue used in this procedure. So, the second ablation that I supposed to get, it was canceled and I have to use compression socks. the ones I used before or they are no comfortable and no effective. Another pair they were comfortable but not effective either. I am so glad that this Copper ones are comfortable and effective.
