Best traps!
I have purchased these 3 times for my home and work (classroom). They are by far the best traps for gnats/fruit flies. The traps caught so many I had to put new ones up. Now that they've been unavailable to purchase again, I had to buy another brand but it didn't work well at all, hardly caught any bugs. Then I found I had one more of the Botanica's Best brand, and I put it out and it caught waaaay more bugs. Please bring this brand back for purchase. I also checked online in other merchants but couldn't find them.

it worked
i bought this because the fruit flies are out of control at my house. the picture looks like a hook, it is infact, a twist tie, maybe a little bit heavier than bread bag. i think i would buy the larger group for a better price next time and forgo the twist tie feature. i put one on a cage i have for a baby porcupine (i do wildlife rehab) and the flies were attracted to the food especially bananas. well, in one day, it just about wiped out all the fruit flies, got a few house flies too. it was amazing. i think the trick is where you place it. i put it on the outside of the cage (cant imagine picking that out of quills) and close to where the food dish is. it worked wonders! great investment

Useful product in the right circumstances
I purchased this to deal with fruit flies that were in my kitchen, as well as another product for the same purpose. I bought this particular item because I could hang it with the enclosed hanger and not put a hole someplace in the wall or ceiling. It captured a few of the flies, but not as many as the other one, which I had attached to a window. I imagine this product would work fine for insects invading a particular plant when you could attach it directly to the plant, as it is sticky and held whatever landed on it. But it is also small in size, so to catch fruit flies flying around a room is more like luck that the fly will land on the small flower area that is actually sticky. That being said, had I used it in a smaller area, it would have worked fine, as it does what it says it will do, which is to capture flying insects.

Excellent product
I can't rave enough about these peel and stick fruit fly catching stickys. Use them when one of our plant was infected with tiny bugs- Boom, in a week the whole front and back was covered in tiny bugs. And the bug problem was over. Fruit flies? Put these on your table near bananas and gone gone gone they stick and thats the end. No chemicals, no smells, no toxic anything. Keep children and pets away from them. Place in a place where they are with the plant, yet, out of reach of pet and child. Highly recommended product. You have a green house with bugs? These stickers will collect them. Front and back peel off sticker. Easy to use. Comes with point to place in soil of pot of plant. Has whole to hang up on hangers.

Good for the money
Ok but could be slightly stickier. A few actually tried to crawl off of it. The real issue is that gnats and fruit flies aren't attracted to it. I tried a drop of balsamic vinegar or them to lure them. Worked ok but ultimately I ended up pouring wine and vinegar in shot glasses and sticking the butterflies in the glass. Those traps are far more successful. You get alot of traps to play around with at least.

Traps them and holds them!
These things are great for attracting, trapping, and holding those tiny insects that make your life miserable. I don't know where they come from. My home is clean. I don't leave food lying around. Somehow, though, these little bugs show up. These traps are extremely sticky, so sticky, in fact, that it's almost hard to handle them as you're placing them. The best spot for them, I've found, is near a window because the bugs are always going to head toward a bright light. Once they land on one of these things, they are there for good. When they look comparatively full, I replace them. I bought this pack quite a while ago and haven't used them all up yet. Great value for the money!

Definitely Sticky, But Effective
My bumbling, novice attempt to grow a few herbs inside an apartment turned into hoards of fungus gnats. Tiny bowls of homemade concoctions with vinegar and dish soap killed a few, but more of my 3-inch prep bowls were being used to drown gnats than for preparing recipe ingredients. So I ordered the butterflies. One butterfly caught more gnats in 24 hours than the home remedy did in weeks.Pros: They’re sticky, the yellow butterfly traps are cute in the pots, and they catch a lot of gnats.Cons: They’re REALLY STICKY, so it takes a little patience and care when peeling and placing the traps. I peeled from the bottom of the wings upward, but if you don’t peel slowly and evenly the paper tears also. Once the adhesive is exposed, it sticks to EVERYTHING it touches: fingers, plant leaves and stems, dirt, plastic, cloth, any surface. If you’re hanging it and using a sturdy enough hanger, you could peel it after it’s hung (the hangers included are just twist ties).
