Good product
I have thick medium length layered hair which has tendency lie flat against my crown and get unruly at the ends. I have been blow drying and styling my hair for years always trying to get volume at the crown and control the ends but sometimes it still doesn't look good. I was kind of thinking I needed something like this and after a google search found these. They are pretty simple to use and I can leave them in once my hair is mostly dry which gives the volume and lift I need time to set. It's a one step process which eliminates drying your hair THEN doing a curling iron or rollers. I leave them in about 10 minutes. My hair now has the desired volume and control that I couldn't achieve before! The only complaint I have is that I got 5 rollers but only 3 clips which doesn't make sense because there are "5" roller - so include 5 clips. But all in all a good product and a definite time saver.

Gorgeous blowout.
These are amazing. I gave myself a salon style (actually better) in 10 minutes. Very good quality gets nice and hot. Highly recommend.

Too much effort for "eh" results
I have curly/frizzy hair that by now I have perfected the art of getting it do what I want it to do. To style my hair straight I have a set of steps to get to the point where I blow dry it straight using a ceramic round brush. After each piece of hair I dry with the brush I then roll it into a curl and pin it to let it cool and set. My hair will stay straight and styled for about 4 days with maybe a touch up here and there but I try to always use my brush and dryer using a straightening iron on rare occasions to minimize damage. Imagine my excitement with I found this great concept to minimize my styling! I would put my skill level over average with round brush styling, however this brush set was extremely challenging. The bristles did not grab my hair and it kept coming out as I tried to blow dry. I reduced the amount of hair I was trying to dry/style but again the bristles just wouldn't hold. When I finally did get one section to comply my hair was not straight and shiny, it was dull and frizzy. No doubt this is because the roller is not ceramic but plastic so it does not retain heat. So I switched it up and went back to styling with my regular round brush then rolling my hair around the click n curl brush head so my hair could "set". Let me insert a disclaimer here - I did my research. I read reviews, I watched YouTube videos I did it all so I would know how to properly get the brush to hold my hair. Sadly after many failed attempts, even using Conairs roller clips I had to keep adjusting the brush heads to stay in place. After about an hour - obviously my hair had cooled - I removed the brush heads slowly and at an angle to gently release the curl without pulling. My kids screamed in horror! I had succeeded in looking like Morgan Fairchild in her Falcon Crest days! Big (big!!) hair for days!! The hair at my roots had frizzied giving me an enormous amount of exceptional volume and the rest of my hair looked dull and ginormous (did I say that already)! My 10 year old daughter was plugging in the straightener while my 13 year old son was repeating "no, no, no"! My husband asked "are you going to dinner like that?" All I could do was laugh and threaten that 'yes, I would go out like this, infact I might volunteer at the kids school with this hair if they misbehaved!' All kidding aside, I did end up using my flat iron to fix my hair and later I did give it a couple more attempts and a watch a few more YouTube videos before I gave up and decided to return this product. In the end, the idea is great, the quality is lacking.

Overall good, but some issues
This is a pretty good product. The brushes are good. The concept is great. I have been doing this with multiple round brushes for years, but it did not work too well, because the brush handles got in the way and the weight of the handles made them fall out, etc. This is great, because you click out the handle and leave the brush in. Without the handle there, you can work the other areas of the hair in that area, etc. There are a few improvements I would suggest. They only provided 3 clips, but there are 5 brush/rollers. Confusing! I need to use all the brushes, so I need 5 clips, so I guess I will have to spend another $10 to order a set of clips, although I only need 2 more... The other thing that I did not like is the handle has absolutely no weight in it at all. Not a super big deal, but we are all used to there being some weight in the handle. With no weight, it makes it difficult to maneuver and curl the hair around, the handle is hard to keep hold of when it is not weighted. Also, try not to get any hair around the part of the handle that is closest to the brush, because it will get snagged in the little notch that releases the brush from the handle.

Great blowout curlers for thick hair
These curlers have become part of my everyday blowout. They definitely help to smooth out my hair, similarly to the way hot rollers work. They are very easy to use, the clips hold them in place nicely. Excellent product!

Cheaply made
Brilliant idea, cheaply carried out. I have fine thin hair, and even still the bristles on these are too weak to pick it up. What I have to do is dry work with a section on my good ceramic round brush until it is hot and dry, then turn the hair dryer on one of these purple guys to heat it up, set down the dryer, and using two hands, roll this into the section and let set (no clip needed). By the time I get to using the fifth brush roller, the first one is cooled down and I can slip it out and use it elsewhere if needed. I am guessing the person who's idea this is is upset with Clairol for messing the product quality up. I am. I'd be happy to pay half again as much for a brush I could use, just make the bristles stiffer, better quality. The good news is, my hair looks smooth and fluffy all day long. Next day, too!

Good tool, but not a does everything brush.
I’m a hairdresser, use these brushes to set in my blowdrys or touch up. They work well when rolled in dry hair and set with hot dryer. Handle unclips easily. They don’t grip as well as my other brushes for actually blow drying wet hair.
