Not so long ago, you had to use a machete if you wanted a sip of real coconut water. Lucky for you we’ve taken the machete out of the equation, because those things are dangerous. We pick and package our coconut water At the source, and work with small family farms to make sure we’re giving you the most nutritious, most authentic tasting coconut water possible. Which is now even tastier, because we’ve added fresh coconut puree to make your favorite coconut water taste like your favorite coconut treat. Enjoy pressed on its own, or mixed in a smoothie!

Not Right
My coconut water arrived swiftly. Happy days!I've never tasted Vita CoCo's coconut water but heard it was delicious, and I was looking forward to a tasty new experience. Imagine my disappointment when I eagerly opened my purchase, took a sniff, and a smell of death wafted into my nostrils. I looked inside the carton to see little white globules floating in the liquid. That can't be right, I thought. I picked out one of the globules, and it had a greasy feel.Well, I don't know what this coconut water should be like, but I'd bet it's not supposed to smell like death with greasy globules. I'd even bet that awful things may happen inside me, and my body might punish me severely if I dare assault it with whatever is in this carton.Amazon refunded my money, which is great, but I really wanted the coconut water. Next time I’ll just go to the grocery store.

chewy bits don't add anything
Like normal coconut water, but with a few large-ish, swimming, chewy bits of coconut added. It doesn't add anything to what was a fine product already."Impossible To Hate" they say? If people are struggling with coconut water (why?), then adding pieces of coconut large enough to require some "chew your water" isn't going to make them love it. Not even close.Size-wise, 16,9oz is a lot of coconut water if you're not sharing. I tend to prefer 10-12oz servings. This type of packaging always leaves a little liquid trapped in each carton (there's a rim around the inside of the opening) for those who get frustrated at not being able to finish their drink.Aseptic cartons like these are accepted with paper recycling in some locations, check with your local recycler. For the record, I love fresh coconuts, and coconut water, and especially fresh coconut water and coconut milk and.... BUT this version spoils the refreshing "gulp it down" of coconut water, but doesn't have the chew or flavor of fresh coconut.Vita Coco's plain coconut water is just fine. But skip this stuff.

It's not just the packaging that's DIFFERENT, it's the TASTE too
Not the same as previous order. The one in the picture with the heart is what I loved and thought I was ordering. The one on top is what I received in my most recent order. I loved the first order of this stuff. I just ordered it again on Feb 6 but when I opened the box they looked different. I figured they probably just updated their packaging, but once I tasted it I knew it wasn't the same thing. I compared ingredients from a previous order to the ingredients in this order and there are differences. Even though the differences are subtle, the difference in taste is not. I was able to return these.

This boxed coconut water is fresh and tasty, unlike the plastic version
Such a HUGE difference betwen the flavor of the coconut water in original box packaging versus the icky tasting plastic bottle version. I ordered 3 cases of the plastic bottle version and they are all yucky! I know because I have sampled 1 from each case. These taste amazing and fresh, like actual coconut water should! Do yourself a 'flavor' and don't buy the plastic bottled one pictured on the right. I will take the risk of the boxed ones leaking again before I waste more money on this plastic alternative.

Sourness not expected of coconut water
Packaging looks great, was actually really excited for this since I thought this was going to be a more natural type of vita coco coconut water. Boy, was I wrong. If by "pressed", they meant pressed by sweaty palms, that may be the case, since it tasted so unusually sour it was very off-putting. You still had the fake coconut taste vita coco is known for, but this one just was a whole next level of weird. Might be expired, or that might just be the taste of it? I can't tell for sure.

Pretty Gross
Flavoring seemed weird or off. Unfortunately before actually inspecting the inside of one of the canisters, I drank 2.I took the cap off of a third, and before drinking I peered into the canister and saw unknown seeds and other odd particles floating about within. Never seen such in any of the same brand coconut waters I’ve purchased anywhere else.Never again. Thankfully, Amazon refunded me with little hassle.

Great Taste
I grew up drinking coconut water straight from the real coconut. This water isn’t clear because the flesh is blended with the water. Not bad at all, I love the real fruit in it. It has only 1 gram of added sugar just for stability of taste (just to make it more appealing to the palate) but it doesn’t disrupt the integrity and quality of the coconut water. Yes, I loved the taste of this pressed water. Great in smoothies as well.

Tastes like coconut!
I’m a huge fan of coconut water and this is one of the best tasting ones out there. They blend in a little coconut “meat” purée and it gives it more body (like skim milk) and it definitely tastes more like coconuts than many of the coconut waters out there. Not overly sweet.
