What is it that makes these disposable? I want to use them as earphones along with old earbuds. Remove the CeramX. Will the "body" hold up to use?

Pollen, dust, and moisture will reduce the effectiveness of the EarPlanes for their intended purpose. I have only used them for 2 flights max so I cannot speak to how they hold up long term. I think the not holding up part is more internal and microscopic than visual or in body/feel.

what's the difference for this product with ceramx and same product non-ceramx

From what I can see reading the description of both is that the non-ceramx is "hypoallergenic and latex free soft silicone," so is made for those with latex allergies. My personal opinion is to buy the cermax version unless you have a latex allergy.
