Any bulb that is advertised as Infrared for snakes is probably not infrared. Humans can not and I repeat CAN NOT SEE Infrared light even! Don't be fooled by the myth snakes cant see the red spectrum so therefor it don't bother them. They may not see the light as red but they still sense the light. I fell for that myth and took me a long time to figure out why both my steadily feeding ball pythons stopped eating for months when I swapped heating pads and ceramic heat bulbs (which generate heat and NO light) for these IR heat bulbs. They were stressed cause it was daytime all the time in their enclosure. They are fine as day time bulbs to generate heat and light but do not leave on 24/7!Humans can not detect IR wavelengths generally by eye but video cameras and cell phone video cameras can. Find any remote for a TV or DVD player with the little clear dome at the end of it and record it with a video camera while pressing any button and you will see that little clear dome light up with every press of the button. That's Infrared light.

I couldn’t find a better value for these bulbs. This is the second set I purchased and the longevity of these bulbs are superb. Highly recommend these bulbs for any lizard enclosure. Best warmth and value for my money.....
