■Matt black color appeared from PRO-USE171, next generation mechanical pencil. ■Snork System is applied to let you select the writing feel of your choice! the users can enjoy two types of writing feel: the delicate feel of the lead on the paper, or a stable feel, with unbreakable lead even when applying strong pressure. Also, as the length of the lead is changed by rotating the tip of the pencil, you can adjust the height against a ruler, or paper, to obtain the writing feel of your choice.

Review: Finally, a mechanical pencil that has retired my Rotring 600. - I didn't think a mechanical pencil could steal my heart away from the Rotring 600, of which I've had several throughout the decades, but this one did. The two pencils weigh about the same but the the weight of the Pro Use 171 is concentrated towards the tip of the pencil, and the end result is the pencil feels like it wants to pivot right around the area where my fingers grip it. That was the thing that really sold the pencil for me. I never really noticed the weight of the back end of the Rotring swinging around until I used this pencil and I noticed the absence of it. However because it still has a decent amount of weight, it feels like just the weight of the pencil alone is providing the correct pressure on the lead for writing. The other features are a bonus I think. Maybe I'm lucky but I've never been one of those people who have dropped a Rotring 600 and bent the metal guide tip. However the ability to retract it on this pencil is appreciated. Likewise I don't have a death grip on my pencil and I don't typically break the lead but I do know people who do and I think for them the ability to have the pencil "cushion" the lead might be something they need. I keep that turned on but I really never push hard enough for me to see any movement in the lead either way. Anyway, this pencil is awesome. It's my new favorite.

I didn't think a mechanical pencil could steal my heart away from the Rotring 600, of which I've had several throughout the decades, but this one did. The look of this first off is exactly what I'd pictured, sleek black and thin. The ability to control the lead amount by hand allows me greater control both for writing and shading if drawing. Many uses for this little dude! So far so good! Came with lead preloaded as well. The only complaint is after a while it truly hurts your hand/fingers from how solid the edges are.
