Review: BEAST!!! Way more than I had hoped for - I must say this is the 2nd Orion Amplifier I have purchased, The first being an OrionXtr2500.1Dz which was a gift from my wife. I decided for once in my life I wanted an amplifier for my mids & highs that could handle the amount of speakers I usually have installed. I usually have anywhere from 4 pairs to 6 (pairs) of 6.5" and 6x9" speakers. All my amps in the past would have a hard time giving the power needed and I would usually end up with a wiring frenzy to keep the amp at a sustainable impedance. This amp. The Orion HCCA 1500.4 has outdone itself, seriously. I have 10 6.5" speakers in my vehicle along with 6 12" subwoofers. Its hard to keep your vocals loud enough to hear with that many Subs. The Orion HCCA1500.4 has my system sooo loud I've had people run from my vehicle. Hand to god. The amplifier has barely gotten even warm to the touch after playing for hours straight. I went ahead and installed 2 12v fans to help keep my subwoofer amps cool and with those 2 little fans added on the other side of the vehicle from where the Orion is, that amp stays Ice cold all day long. And it can be used for subs as well putting out great clean Rms power across all channels. 4ohm- 4 x 250w Rms, 2ohm- 4 x375w Rms, 4ohm bridged- 2 x 750w Rms. That's 375 watts per channel Rms by 4 channels. Or 750 watts Rms per channel for 2 channels. Awesome amp. Hands down.

**Q: Can this handle a .7 ohm load**
A: It probably could however in order for it to handle that load your electrical should also handle that load for the amp. If you intend to run that much power your electrical should be stout enough to handle the load. If you take into account box rise, the amp may not see a true .7 load. Again that much output of power also needs the capability of the electrical system to handle the load. My suggestion would be to not run it at that ohm load unless you truly know what you are doing.

**Q: What is the rms rating @14.4v (at lowest impedance)? what is the lowest impedance it can be operated at?**
A: It's rated 17000 watts at 12.6. At 14.4 it will be upwards of 20k. Rated at 1 ohm

A: The listing is for the 17000.1D, the one I am selling is the SPLX, factory RB

**Q: How much battery to power this amp**
A: I would recommend at least 4 x Batcap X4000 batteries but the more the merrier depending on your budget..

This amplifier is huge and heavy. You can tell it is top quality. I might add they really do under rate their amplifiers, this thing pushes way more than rated. GREAT JOB ORION!
