Confirmed to be 18AWG and copper
I read some comments here that this wire was smaller than 18 AWG and it was not all copper. So, when I purchased the six rolls, I decided I would test them when they arrived.I first confirmed the wire is 18 AWG using a wire stripper with holes for each wire size. The wire I received is definitely too large to be 20 AWG and fits the 18 AWG holes.I then did a resistance check, which would confirm both the size of the wire and the type of metal used.I ran 1 Amp DC through the spool using a regulated power supply and measured 317 mV across the 50-foot coil. I used a four-wire connection, so contact resistance would not be an issue. If a 50-foot length has a resistance of 0.317 Ohms, this converts to 6.34 Ohms per 1000 feet. (0.317*1000/50)The standard resistance value for 18 AWG copper wire is 6.385 Ohms per 1000 feet. So, this wire is confirmed to be 18 AWG copper wire. This does not prove that the wire you will get is 18 AWG copper wire, because Amazon sometimes ships different products under the same item number. However, the wire that I received is as advertised.

A great price for a 6-color bundle, 100% copper (not clad)
These are real copper, not copper clad aluminum. The bundle has 50 feet each of 6 colors for a very fair price. Now I just need to make some kind of dispenser and mount them for quick access.
