Clover Adjustable Ring Thimble, 1, Gold

Brilliant value and great for crocheting.
I have altered my ring for crocheting. I used needle nose pliers and bent the end of the ring to stop wool tension from hurting and denting my finger. It was cheaper than buying a ring especially designed to do this. The metal has not split or weakened in the process of me altering the ring, so for the price I am very happy and so is my finger ! I can also use this as an ordinary thimble would be.

Works well for me
I prefer this to a regular thimble. Partly cos I have great big fingers and most thimbles are too small but I like the way this one fits too. I put it on my middle finger, sideways on and it's in just the right place to be useful, You can stretch it open or squeeze it tighter so it stays on firmly and you can still use your finger for other things while it's on.

Almost worked for me, but could work for you
Its almost good, but if it was just a little narrower, or had a choice of widths that would be good. I cant get it to stay on well, as it bridges the narrower bit and the knuckle instead of being able to close it between them. It feels sturdy enough thing, and you may find it works much better for you though, especially if you dont have swollen knuckles.

I can't get on with it though
Thought this might solve the problem of big hands. Sadly I don't get on with it but I'm just a guy that picks up a needle a couple of times a year so I'm probably doing it wrong?Nicely made, good quality and good idea.

No use for applique
I ordered this to save my fingers whilst doing appliqué work but it just wasn’t any use to me I think it was just a bad choice on my part
