I started using them over 20 years ago on the advice of my Periodontist and they helped avert gum disease. So many new plaque removers on the market today but in my opinion, nothing works as well as the Stim-u-dent. Plus the Stim-u-dent are made of wood, so they're environmentally friendly, all the other products on the market today are made of plastic. I have had a hard time finding them in my local stores, so glad I found them on Amazon.
