I purchased this cup holder and tray for my grandson to have a place to sit his food on the days I pick him up from school. We always grab fast-food while waiting for one of his parents to finish up work. I looked at so many of these cupholders & trays and read SO many reviews. Mostly good reviews but several bad reviews also. I really wanted to try it out for myself so I made sure to purchase from someone who would take returns incase the item wasn't as described. I AM SO GLAD I TRIED THIS ITEM FOR MYSELF! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Some of the negatives were that the cupholder was hard to install...Well that was false... You simply place it in the vehicle cupholder and turn it a bit and it tightens up. Another complaint was it would work itself loose... So I'm constantly checking and it hasn't loosen up any in weeks so far. Another complaint was the item isn't sturdy... My grandson just turned 11 a couple weeks ago. He's pretty tough on things and the tray is still holding up to him which is impressive. We aren't putting heavy items on the tray mostly fast food, but no issues so far. Now, I will agree that it's a little pricey but I drive a Toyota Tacoma 4 door. I always have a lot of items in the backseats, so I don't have a lot of room to adjust the front seats. I really needed the room for him to be able to place his food somewhere safe without dumping it in the seats or floor. The cupholder part that fits into the vehicle cupholder holds my large RTIC cup. The cupholder on the tray doesn't have a bottom in it, so a bottle of water will not work in it, but a fast-food cup works great. The large sweet tea he gets fits without any stress of weight to the tray. Oh and the tray is removable if needed but so far I have left it attached. When my grandson isn't using it for food I have tossed my personal items on it such as cellphone etc. Some people complained that the tray covered their gearshift and actually it does if you have it moved out of the passengers way, but that's not a big deal to me right now. This truck I'm in right now is an automatic and there's enough room for me to reach under the tray to shift into reverse or drive. If you're driving a stick that could cause you an issue but you could always remove the tray if it's not in use. I think I've covered everything that had made me a little leery to make the purchase. Just make sure whoever you purchase from allows returns so if you don't like it you can return it. I usually do not write long reviews like this but I felt like I would be fair to this product after receiving and using it after I had read the negatives, which turned out not to be true, as far as I have seen for myself, except it being pricey. So basically it's sturdy, easy to install but a truth is, it is a little pricey. So far it's been totally worth it though.

I recently purchased the Cup Holder and Tray for my car, and while it functions as intended, it comes with a few significant drawbacks that make it less than ideal for regular use.Firstly, the mechanism designed to keep the tray steady is flawed. The anchors that are supposed to maintain it in position often retract back into the mechanism. This means that every time you want to secure the tray, you have to spend time unscrewing it to get the anchors back out. This repetitive process is not only time-consuming but also quite frustrating, especially if you're in a hurry.Secondly, the tray itself isn't capable of holding much weight. While it can handle lightweight items such as a phone or small snacks, anything heavier can cause it to become unstable. On more than one occasion, I've had items fall off the tray because it couldn't support the weight. This significantly limits its utility, particularly if you were hoping to use it for larger items like a ipad or a meal.Overall, while the Cup Holder and Tray does work, the effort required to secure it and its limited weight capacity make it a less practical choice. If you need a reliable and sturdy solution, you might want to consider other options.

Used this for a road trip and it was so helpful. I have a compact SUV and there's not a whole lot of extra room to put things up front in the center console. My son was in the passenger seat and he loved having a small table to use during the trip. It's a little tricky getting it adjusted in the cup holder so the tray is exactly where you need it to be as it tightens up, but once it's there, you can swerve it to where you want it and move it out of the way when u don't. I recommend doing this before u leave, not while driving, because it requires trial and error.It's sturdy once in place, and the rubber mats included keep things from sliding off. The cup holder holds up to 40 oz cups. We used it for a 40oz cup, and it also held a 16 oz plastic bottle of water snug and in place. The tray was perfect for holding food and cell phones and when he reclined the seat, he could leave his phone and glasses on it and they didn't go anywhere. Highly recommend!

Fit together very easily, has added much needed space and I can also hang a small bag for garbage too. Great for extra drinks, oversized coffee thermos cups, extra tray for phone and snacks. Very happy with purchase. Worth the money.

In less than a month the main cupholder positioning base disintegrated into multiple pieces. It no longer can stay in the upright position and became useless. I’m returning it to Amazon for a full refund which was accepted by the customer care department.The design was very useful but the materials used in the manufacturing was substandard indeed. I hope they can fix these drawbacks and rebuild in a better version that can last a reasonable time & sturdy use.Thanks to Amazon customer relation team who were very cooperative and instructive in addressing these complaints.

I really enjoy using this food and cup holder. I drive truck for a living and it’s nice to put a burger and fries and dip on tray along with extra large slurpee cup and be able to enjoy my meal while keeping my attention on the road and not having to worry about spilling.The only con is that the place mats inside of holder are not attached to unit. They come free I’m guessing so they can be cleaned easier? Easily remedied with some double sided tape but an oversight by the developer. That’s why I deducted a star. It’s the small things.

I have purchased more than 5 drink holder expander for my car in the past years, so far this is the only one I found sturdy enough to actually serve its purpose.
