4.5 Stars: A Good Dispenser With Its Quirks (A Review From A 10-15 Year User)
This is my third purchase of a pill dispenser of this type. I have had my older ones for 10-15 years and they continue to do their job perfectly. The size of this dispenser is smaller than the originals; however, it does hold a decent amount of pills, including large pills such as supplements or vitamins. THE LID: The instructions indicate that the lid is stubborn for a while until it gets broken in. This is 100% true. You will find yourself filling the compartments via the lid latch rather than removing the lid in its entirety. Trust me, it's easier that way. If you adhere to the "first in, first out" philosophy, have a small clean container or surface to briefly hold any leftover pills. Dump the new pills in. If space permits, backfill with the remaining leftover pills. You will save wear and tear on your fingers. If you don't have a lot of hand and finger strength, this is the way to go. PILL SIZES: Do not put small pills into this dispenser. They will migrate over the dividers when pouring and get into other sections. You then have to fish them out or dump all the pills in the other section to retrieve it. Pills considered "small" are the size of furosemide (Lasix) or propranolol (Inderal). If your pill is larger than those you should be fine. CLEANING: Pills give off dust. Dust will accumulate in the sections. To clean out a section, I pour out the pills and give the section a couple of blasts with compressed air. If you want to thoroughly clean the container and/or frequently change medications, you will have to break in the lid as described to open the container for cleaning. I would suggest warm water with dish soap and wipe dry with a soft cloth or paper towel. I have never placed my containers in the dishwasher and I would not recommend it. Using the dishwasher could warp the plastic or break the lid latch, etc. Note that if you label the medications, you will have to hand-wash carefully to avoid wetting the paper labels. LABELS: The labels that come with the container are of mediocre quality. I was putting vitamins in my new container and wrote the names on the included labels using an Amazon-brand felt tip (Flair marker) pen. The ink was still wet on the label even 10 minutes later and smeared. You get one extra label. If you are prone to goofing up, I would suggest using your own labels. If you get your medications from CVS, your prescriptions will come with a printed reproduction of the medication's label. One of those tiny labels has your name and the medicine's name neatly printed out. These will stick perfectly on the outside of the container. I place them vertically and line them up with each divider. The CVS labels will generally peel off cleanly. The included labels will not. You can remove residue with alcohol (70% works best) or Goo Gone. DURABILITY/TRAVEL: These are very durable. As I said, I have larger but identical versions that I've used for 10-15 years. Pretty much indestructible if they're just going to sit on a dresser or nightstand . If dropped on a hard surface such as tile or concrete, I could see the lid latch or the tab breaking. I don't travel so I can't say how they would hold up over time under those conditions. NOISE: These things are NOISY. Very noisy. Like maracas but worse. If you are sound sensitive, need to keep noise to a minimum or have easily disturbed housemates, everybody within earshot will know when you are taking your medicine. On the other hand, if you suddenly need maracas, you're in luck. FINAL THOUGHTS: It's inexpensive, it holds a lot of medicine, and it doesn't take up a lot of space compared to pill bottles. With a little bit of care, it will last a long time. It isn't pretty or fancy, but it does its job well. You won't be disappointed.

Difficult to use.
I had one of these for years. It finally locked up after hundreds of uses. I am disappointed in the new one in the fact that it was nearly impossible to get the lid off and spinning the top around was extremely difficult. I worked it back-and-forth for a couple of minutes and it finally loosened up. After getting the top off I applied some silicone spray using a Q-tip along the rim. I reapplied the cover and it will now spin easily. However it is still impossible to remove the lid without inserting a knife carefully between the lid and the rim on which it sits and prying it off. It should not be that tight. The first one I had was nothing like this but as it aged it locked up which would be expected I guess. So I would rate this a four stars because it is difficult to use.

Good brand
I have had these before and decided to try a different brand. They were terrible. The pills wouldn’t stay in their slots and the lid kept falling off. I sent those back and reordered these. The lid is a little tight as some have mentioned but it does loosen up after a while. My other ones lasted for many years without any issues so I definitely recommend this brand.

Spin the lid around a few times to loosen before using
As the title says, you want to spin the top around the base for ease of use. (A fine grade of sandpaper will help remove any burrs left from manufacturing). These will hold up under normal use, but for travel, I'd pack them carefully because they are plastic after all. This is my second set. (The first set lasted over a decade), so I know what to expect. Depending on pill/supplement size, refilling often---or not---isn't a big deal. The labels that came with it were a bit old and I used clear tape to keep them in place. (Label makers come in real handy for this). Cleaning can be tricky. While safe on the top rack of a dishwasher, I wouldn't because of warping. Soak in warm soapy water, use an old toothbrush and long QTips to get the stubborn residue from the corners at the inside bottom. All that said, I'd recommend this for the convenience, overall quality and pricing.

Perfect size, perfect solution, buy it
Any negative review would be strange. It has six compartments that easily hold any size vitamin, unless for some reason you have discovered the oddest size tablet that if it doesn't fit in this thing, you probably shouldn't be swallowing it! Normal vitamins, even the larger ones will absolutely fit and there is no problem getting them out. So you take off the firmly capped lid and add the pills. Re cap the lid firmly. The only issue if you wanted to clear up shelf space from all your pill bottles is that not all the pills will fit, you will have extra in your bottles remaining and the point is not to have so many bottles around. But not a deal breaker. There is an opening in the lid, you turn the lid to the desired pill compartment and tilt the container to shake it out. Voila. Great price, great solution to making the vitamin consumption easier. Also comes with adhesive labels to designate. Great item, I ordered three more for others.

I wish they sold in more colours than 80s off-beige... That being said, it works well, I ended up buying two. Lid stays on well, turns fine between the different positions. Only thing is it has enough of a gap that I've noticed one very small pill sneak into another partition. I'm very glad to have consolidated all my pills into these.
