Franklin Sports 4-Piece Table Tennis Conversion Top

Our table tennis top came with the hinge pin on two of the hinges broken and the corners slightly chipped. This is heavy. It probably weighs 100 to 120 LBS is my guess without weighing it. We have set ours up on a large table that we no longer use. This would be better for a 9' pool table, as it is designed for. We have a lot of fun with it how it is, but I think I am going to take the hinges off and get a 4x8 sheet of mdo board or plywood and glue it down for the extra support. If the edge is hanging over your table, you cannot touch it without folding up the net or if you lean on it, folding up the table.If you were rating this on value alone, it would be an easy 5 stars, but there are some quality shortfalls. Lots of fun and laughs for the whole family.

A funny story: the table came in as expected but the 4 pieces were not correct. We received 1 left and three rights so one side's lines did not match up. The company was awesome, however! They were very prompt, appologetic and gave us a full refund rather than sending out a new panel or having us send back (very heavy package). Seldome do you find such great cusomer service.The table itself is a little akward. We have to set it up with books supporting the panels to keep it flush with the supporting table. b the (hinges are not flush underneath). They create a bump underneath alond the the mid lenghth of it causing the table to bend uppward. The panels are good quality (heavy duty) but they are also very heavy and not very easy to lift off and put away. I think I would invest in a portable table with wheels next time.

It works great on our dining room table. It's clearly designed to be put on top of a pool table, because it has downward-facing hinges that will scratch your table if you aren't careful, and which will lift up the middle to stop it being flat unless you compensate for it somehow. We put books on the sides to lift it up and it works great.We also had some minor issues with the net, which isn't the highest quality - the arms have a tendency to gradually turn sideways under the tension of the net.However all it all it's a great table tennis table that takes up far less space than having a dedicated table.

This table arrived with a few damaged corners, and the painted stripe down the middle of one of the sides was a wide stripe that belonged on the side of the table, and the thin stripe was down the middle. After a week being on top of our pool table we noticed the center of the table where the 2 pieces come together was drooping a bit. However, the manufacturer said they were giving us a refund, - It hasn't been long enough to show up yet if they did, but if they really do, that would make us very satisfied.

I also got this item with a few damaged corners as others have posted but honestly, for the price this is the best table out there. I did a lot of research and unless you want to spend more than $400 and have an incredibly heavy conversion topper this is the best choice. We have it over our pool tabe and it does sag a bit in the middle. I saved the small pieces of styrofoam and set them under the seams and at the cross point in the middle and it flattened out perfectly.

After reading reviews and looking at ping pong table tops, we decided to purchase this one. EVERY corner of the table is dented. It is very heavy so I'm not sure if this was from the delivery person not being able to lift it or if it came from the warehouse this way. It sags in the middle where the 2 pieces come together. Scratched our pool table even though we were very careful to just lift it and not slid it.

This is made of 4 sections, hinged along the mid line. Is heavy and it needs a large table to sit on. The hinges will raise the mid sim 1/4", so it needs spacers under the sides. Also the hinges will scratch the surface is sitting on. Is made in China so do not except quality. The 4 pieces are slight bowed. The surface is not perfect. The sim which is hinged doesn't match perfect. It takes couple of adults to set it up.

Table arrived extremely damaged - two corners crushed, a chunk out of the middle on both sides where it was folded. While it appears that all the damage occurred during shipping, since this is such a common complaint with this table, the packaging should be improved on. Returning this heavy thing is going to be a real chore. Something this heavy and made of something as easy to chip/dent as particle board is, internal protective corners are a must. Additionally, it appeared as if the white border paint wasn't dry before folded as there are white paint smears on the green top in several places. Disappointed but not surprised about the damage complaint due to other reviews.
