OSPREY PRODUCTS ARE FANTASTIC!!! OUTSTANDING!!!
Before our trip to Europe last month we researched alternatives to the standard, large, rectangular pull along suitcases. My husband and I ordered the Osprey Shuttle 30"/100 L Wheeled Luggage and the Dual Layered Osprey Backpack. Both products are fantastic. The Osprey Shuttle is similar to a rolling durable duffel bag that can stand up because of the base on the end of the bag. It is very light weight, durable bag that travelled very well on trains, checked on the airline. Also LOVE all the pockets. EXCELLENT BAG. My husband really likes the packback he ONLY used the backpack for packing for the 3 week trip. Again, a very durable bag which travelled well on the trains; and also a a checked bag. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND these bags and Osprey products. We will definitely purchase more Osprey products in the future and use only Osprey luggage for travel.

Initial Reaction - Fantastic
I purchased this piece of luggage in preparation for a 2 weeks trip to Italy. I wanted a fancy Tumi for the longest time, but then came to my senses and knew this would be as high a quality and much more versatile. Plus the warranty.I haven't traveled with it yet, but initial reactions are very positive. This bag is cavernous. Tons of pockets. Wheels and stability feel great. Will update in a few months.UPDATE 10/21:Just returned from a 2 week trip to Italy and this bag performed terrifically. The wheels are fantastic for the rough cobblestone and the bag never ever wanted to tip over. It's so easy to organize your belongings because of all the different pockets. The compression straps keep everything nice and tucked in - plus it just looks cool. I had 2 weeks of clothes and 6 bottles of wine packed in this thing and it came in right at 23kg - nothing broke either!

YES! YES! YES!
I worked in the outdoor retail (camping, Backpacking, climbing, travel, etc.) industry for years and for years my wife bugged me to get rolling luggage (not getting any younger). I kept saying we don't need it right now we have perfectly good luggage, but I know exactly what to get when the time comes. Well the time came. From working with customers and compering the products we sold and seeing what got returned for various faults and failures, I concluded that the Osprey wheeled luggage was the only way to go. The wheels are very durable and work well on almost any surface (not so well on quick sand ) and the handle with the double extension, in my opinion is the best way to go handle wise for durability and ease of use. Though the capacity is quite substantial you can easily adjust the luggage for more modest loads with both internal straps and external compression straps. Oh and the color we chose (red) was very easy to find at the luggage carousel. During our first time using it we had a fellow passenger (didn't know him from Adam) telling us how great our luggage was the wheels where the best and that I must be an engineer that knows what to look for when we chose our luggage ( he did not have Osprey luggage). So yes I would definitely recommend the Osprey Shuttle 30"

Terrific: sturdy and functional
I bought this bag for a specific two month trip and it worked so well that I plan to make it my regular bag. First of all it’s well designed; the separate compartments make sense and are handy in every way. The four handles are brilliant and make for easy grabbing from luggage racks and bins. The compression straps work really well so the bag gets to a compact size pretty quickly. The interior is a neon green so there’s no searching in the dark and there’s plenty of space; it seems that no matter how much I filled it there was room for something else. I do recommend the packing sacks that are available now to keep your clothes organized; then the bag functions like a dresser. Best of all this bag is tough. I travelled via planes, trains, buses, ferries, and one horse drawn carriage. I pulled the bag over city streets, cobble stones, dirt roads, and fields, mud and sand and the bag took it all and looks almost as good as new after over two months steady trekking. I wish I had bought this bag years ago.

Incredible Bag
This replaced a Cabelas XPG rolling bag that lasted several years and many international trips. It seems to be a worthy replacement. Plenty of room and light weight. Zippers are sturdy and have held up well. Compression straps are great for keeping bag within size limits. Red color is very easy to spot on the luggage carousel. If the first few trips are any indication, the bag should rack up as many miles as the one it is replacing.

Hmmm. Not the best quality for Osprey.
Overall I like the bag, but the quality is not like osprey. Bag started to rip in less than 2 months. Just outside the return window. So looked like I will need to send it in for repair, which is “ Current Turnaround Time: 6-10 weeks”. Very sad. I wonder where this is being made.

A very good bag for rolling across rough surfaces
This is a very good bag and excels going over cobblestones or rough pavement and flooring. The bag is well built and has handled quite a few trips for me as checked baggage and has held up pretty well, even as a soft-side. The protective sides help to protect the bag and give it a nice aesthetic. The clips on the compression straps on the outside of the bag have broken, but that's likely a product of the rough handling all checked baggage gets. The retractable handle is short so it's a bit uncomfortable when you have a bag attached using a luggage pass through, your hand will always be rubbing on it as you pull the suitcase. These are minor issues but given the price of the bag, I think it's warranted. If you need a soft-sided checked bag that can easily roll over rough surfaces, this bag works quite well.
