**Q: Is this gauge water resistant. IE use on a boat**
A: No, it is a budget gauge, perfectly ok for use in a car but nowhere near marine standard. It is not sealed and the casing is minimal corrosion resistant.

There are a few issues wrong with this particular unit. Firstly the photographs suggest that there is a three point switch on the back which moves between 4 6 & 8 this is not the case secondly it states that it is universal but it will not give a appropriate read for a four-cylinder diesel. I reported this when I first received the item and raised my concerns I was ignored. I tried three times which is more than required by law and have had still no response. It’s been several months since my initial purchase and receive of the item and I am now stuck with a product that does not do the job it is intended for and has intermittent faults. This item is about £7 more expensive than other online stores for the exact same brand , this does not equate to better quality shop elsewhere would be advised
