Mohawk Finishing Products OZ Cream Polish

Recommended by my neighbor who was a woodshop teacher. Love this polish and use it twice a year on all my wood furniture. Makes them look new and keeps the wood from drying out.

Well this was a surprise. My dining room table was showing dull spots especially at the ends or sides where hands or arms may have rested over the years. I asked my Carpenter/Contractor if he had a suggestion. He remembered seeing furniture refinishers using Oz! I just tried it on the worst spots and am delighted with the results. My table looks like new. I think this was a great recommendation and I hope to pass it on to anyone on the fence.

I learned of "Oz" while researching how to care for the fine wooden stock on a couple of collectable antique rifles in my collection. I came across a post from a credible, well recognized master cabinet maker. He stated he uses Oz and provides a bottle to each new customer to care for the fine wood items he sells. He also stated how Oz will not stain or saturate wood like some oil based products. For the price, I was willing to give it a try. I tested it out on a small wooden tabletop. It made it glisten in no time. After this small scale test, I decided to move to the stock of my prized 1955 vintage Winchester. The stock it in good shape and the finish is dull (was a hand done gloss finish back in 1955) but intact. One coat of Oz and the stock was like new. It did not cut into the original finish, or take off any color, etc.. Just wiped on, let dry and an VERY light hand buff with a Turkish towel. I'm sold on the product...

Cleaned and shined my antique piano wonderfully well. Will us it on my other furniture. Pricey, but worth it.

This product is very easy to use and provides a nice sheen on my 8ft. wooden doors. They periodically require some protection due to fading and exposure to outside elements since they are on front porches with no storm doors.

The polish works great - I used about 2 teaspoons' worth to polish a 4x8 dining table. It leaves a very nice depth to the finish. I have used it on teak, oak, and walnut so far with great results. My only caution would be to open a window when you apply the polish. I didn't - the weather was in the low 40s, plus I was using the tiny amount of polish in a fairly large living room - and I ended up with a headache. I'm not overly sensitive to products, so I can imagine how it might affect someone who is. Yes - the directions advise adequate ventilation... I thought I had enough. Ended up turning on a couple of venting fans and exiting the house for a couple of hours. Lesson learned: next time I will apply it when the weather permits me to open a couple of windows.

I had been waiting to purchase this product because I was a little skeptical. It was suggested on a few sites that I follow. I was wrong. This is a great product. Purchased a used bar, for the basement, from an individual. After applying Oz Cream, it looks brand new! It’s been on a month now and still looking great!
