The on/off buttons are a little fiddly You have to hold the power button to make it go off and you have to hold the button and when you release it goes on. The espresso power is fine, it makes good coffee. It's tough to line up the grounds cup to put it in, there are no marks or indications and I find myself just feeling the underneath side to find the slot to put the grounds cup in. The grounds cup was very difficult to turn to seat it in the beginning but it has gotten better. Probably all trade-offs for inexpensive production, so for the money probably a good deal.

After a few tries I found a very pretty and functioning Espresso machine. I love this machine because it does exactly what you need it too. Brew your super hot espresso and froth your milk. I recommend just spending the $80-$120 on a machine because it’s worth it and saves you the hassle of a cheaper one not working. Personal experience, I give this machine a 9 out of 10. Not the full 10 because the manual I think could be more specific and a bit more helpful. So it took me a few tries to really get my coffee to my liking. Other than the manual not really guiding me everything else is great! Worth the money and the wait! Recommend this maker.

This coffee maker is not for those who just want to enjoy their espresso before heading out in the morning. I'm not sure if my issues were user related, but the operation instructions that were included were close to no help.First, you have only one "cup" size. If you want more be ready to devote some time.Case in point: how to turn the machine off. This simple function is listed nowhere in the directions. In fact another buyer had to ask in the questions section where Bonsen did respond (btw you have to hold down power button for a few seconds). How long does the pump button blink till you're ready to brew? No idea, out of desperation I hit it again and THEN it started to brew (obviously intimidation works). Frothing? Well as far as I can tell, you let your brew coffee sit there, cooling (yum tepid coffee with frothed milk), then get the frothing function to work.In fairness, once you survived the direction interpretation, the coffee wasn't bad. However, for reasons as listed, I am returning the machine.

I like the coffee but I wish it had an indicator of when the water is hot enough to brew. If I wait 3 to 5 minutes after turning the pot on, it makes a great espresso. If I wait any less time, it is room temperature. My last espresso maker had a light that came on when the water was hot enough.

I love espresso!!! And I got a deal on this machine. It heats up fast and brews fast. The only downside is you have to press the power button for about 30 seconds before it turns on and it doesn't have automatic stop when brewing.

The water tank leaked like crazy. The tank didn't seat properly on the base. There was no gasket or washer to help seal the connection, but my husband was able to devise a "fix" for this problem. It works OK now. I don't know if the original gasket was missing, or if there never was one (in which case it was quite a design defect).
