Review: Reliable & Easy to Use - This remote was great: it was easy to pair with my iPad Pro (via Bluetooth) and easy to learn how to use. It’s also very lightweight. I got it on a Saturday and had no trouble using it for a high stakes presentation two days later, on Monday. Great buy!

The buttons are the right size and intuitively placed. It pairs hassle free with Bluetooth. It's excellent if you want use PowerPoint on an iPad Pro as I do. The USB remotes won't work with an iPad without an adapter because there's no port. This was a bit pricey but I've used it now in several presentations and it was well worth the money.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work with PowerPoint on an ipad 9th generation?**
A: I don't have an iPad but I see no reason why it wouldn't work. It connects via bluetooth and if it works with Keynote, it should also work with Powerpoint for IOS. I7m using it with Macbook Air, but if I remember the reviews correctly, it works with an iPad.

**Q: Is the remote compatible with the iPad mini 2?**
A: I cannot answer this for an iPad mini. However, I have the latest iPad Air. The iPadOS does appear to recognize the bluetooth of the device. PowerPoint on the iPad won’t support a remote. Keynote will support a remote but apparently via the WiFi network for an iPhone or another iPad. One bit of advice I found is to pair a Bluetooth keyboard and use the arrow keys. This remote works well on my M1 laptop.

### ⭐ Sleek design but terrible at getting and staying connected to my laptop - don't buy it!

Terrible connectivity. Each time I use it, it sets up a brand new unique bluetooth connection so I have about 10 different "R1 Presenter" bluetooth identity each time and is very difficult to get connected. It will also shut off very easily and become disconnected if you range too far from your laptop as I often do when I'm in a large space with many people. There is also no feedback about when the unit is ON or OFF. I've had so many problems using it and wish I could return it but I'm outside of the return window. I would NOT RECOMMEND even though I love the sleek design of the unit, I had it disconnect right before facilitating a big group, and could not get it reconnected and had to use a backup clicker by logitech that the tech guy had (thank goodness)
