if you are installing this hood yourself go the rental place ask for a camper shell jack- with a few pieces of wood you are good to go to lift this heavy puppy.

My 5-star rating is for Service, and I would give it 6 stars if possible. As for the hood itself, I have to explain. I purchased a 36 " island range hood from Proline in 2011. It stopped working in 2015 and I identified the problem as a failure of the power board. Proline service advised that they had stopped servicing that particular model (it was out of warranty too) and did not know for sure whether the available replacement boards would work for it. But, they were willing to send an approximate replacement at no cost, which they did. Well, the replacement worked, but was not quite right. Most importantly, it only enabled one speed setting. To my surprise and without being asked, then Proline support decided to SEND a FULL HOOD, the current 6-speed, glass-touch model, at no cost. I did not even have to pay for shipment. Last week we got it, FedExed to our door. It looks beautiful, but I can't report on its function yet.I repeat, because this is almost unbelievable. The full device, a close to 1000 dollar value, was delivered to our door, without our asking (who would ask for something like this?), just because the company was unable to fully support a 5-year old model that was out of warranty. You can't top this level of commitment.
