Great value
Great little knife. Snappy deployment. Smooth, drop shut action. Really nice value for M390.

Impressive EDC
This is my first Kizer knife. I bought it to replace Benchmade Bugout that I lost, which was one of the best EDC knives I've ever owned. The Bugout was a bit too lite on the back-end as it lacks a liner. This knife has a liner and balances out the knife much better, without being too heavy.First impressions of the Kizer was how smoothly and easily it opened using the flipper. It locked up nice and tight and there no wiggle of the blade at all. The thin body of the knife is very attractive to me. It holds well in the hand. The micarta scales provide a nice light textured grip.Overall, I think the knife is a bit short. I would really like to see/feel this knife with a 3" blade, giving the handle a additional 1/2" of length.Asthetically, it's a gorgeous piece of work! I was drawn to it immediately upon seeing it. I love the simple no-nonsense approach to the design. The blade came as sharp as it can be. This is my first knife with M390 steel so I'm not sure what to expect from it. Time will tell how it holds up. So far I'm very happy with and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites everyday I use it.

Great little knife for EDC
This is a great little knife. My work limits us to 2.5" blades, and it's hard to find good knives that fit the bill. This one does. I like the fit and finish. Good blade steel, although I haven't used it enough to assess the edge retention. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Kizer Yorkie: A Functional Favorite
The sub-3" blade premium folding knife market is a crowded one. It feels like every company is making something with these specs:1) blade under 3"2) lightweight3) premium steel4) nicer handle materialsSo the Yorkie hits all of these marks, but how does it stand up to the competition (I'm looking right at you, Mini Bugout)? Pretty well, actually. The ivory handle/black blade combo looks really classy, the blade geometry is nice, and the knife feels good in hand. The blade arrived sharp and liner lock's lockup is solid. Unlike some of its direct competition, the Yorkie feels a little smaller and more like the vaunted ' gentleman's knife'. As such, it makes an excellent fifth-pocket knife or suit pocket knife. While the market is really crowded with knives that fit broadly into this category, the Yorkie makes for a solid offering.

Dandy small 5th pocket hider
It's a beautiful Ray Laconico design, if you want or need a small pocket folder. Not intended to be an all around EDC piece. I got plenty of others for that.Easy 3 finger grip, great pinch blade grip for tip cuts, opening boxes, etc. Long lasting M390 steel is fantastic! Love the compact red G10 scales. Mine is primarily for backup & lighter uses, to a larger & better suited EDC or hard use design. Very good price for a better grade knife.

Wanted to like it.
The steel is the highlight of the knife. The channel lock doesn’t engage fully and that is an a no go. The handle has a texture to that of the sole of a Walmart slipper and doesn’t feel like a micarta handle I would enjoy to use. The handle feels small because of the lack of ergonomics. The easy open feature is nice but not as good as what I’ve experienced on the other knives that are less expensive. Over all my first experience with this brand is less than stellar and I’m returning it.

Great EDC
Product arrived promptly and was packaged well. Knife was sharp right out of the box. Compact but still fits my hand well. Great value!
