Great for my brother's kale soup shared below!
I like to make this kale soup my brother taught me to make.Take some garlic and onions minced, add into a medium pot on medium heat with some oil, cook until light brown and add some fennel seeds and cumin seeds. Once fragrant, throw in chicken or no meat, then chopped fresh kale and cook for 2 minutes. Then add chicken broth or veggie broth and potatoes. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until potatoes are cooked through. If you want a creamy version, add flour after your meat or after the seeds if you don't want meat in it, and add cream to it once potatoes are done.Random to share a recipe in an amazon review but this is why I got the fennel seeds. In terms of the actual seeds, it is very fragrant and fresh! Sealed properly and it comes with a whole lot of fennel seeds

Its fennel... what more can you say?
I use this spice for Indian snackmix. Thats what i call it at least. When we go to our local Indian restaurant (And I apologize if thats not a politically correct term... I really don't know either way) they sell this in bagged form with little pieces of licorice and candy coated spices. Thats what im buying this for. I love snacking on it in this manner. Its healthy, freshens your breath, and its delicious. If you have no idea what im talking about just visit your local India Cuisine restaurant. Most have a store as well. Look for the fennel candy mix. Ive never figured out why this stuff hasn't entered the American cuisine in terms of candy. its delicious! The size and price are very fair as well, and its fresh.

Fennel Seed in 8 Ounce Resealable Package - Grown in India - Aromatic and Flavorful!
I like using fennel when I cook and add it with other spices to my porketta style pork shoulder roast among other things. This 8 ounce package of Indian Fennel Seed is a great value. This package has a DEC 2022 Use By date. The freshness is as expected. The fennel tastes good with the expected licorice anise type flavor. It is aromatic. I spread a bit on the countertop with my index finger to give a size comparison. There are quite a few smaller fennel seeds as can be seen. I did not inspect all this for foreign debris, it appears to be well sifted just by my looking in the bag. I appreciate the zip lock bag. I doubt I can use all this by the use by date! This is a good value.I Recommend this Spices Village Brand Fennel Seeds, Kosher Certified, Whole Spices for Cooking, Fresh Dried Fennel Seed, Great for Tea, Vegan, Gluten Free, Non GMO, High in Dietary, Medicinal Herb, Resealable Bulk Bag 8 Oz. Very good value!I hope you’ve found the information and my review helpful.

These are good eaten raw as a breath freshener
Years ago I attended a party that my friend gave and she and everyone there except for me was Asian Indian. They served fennel seeds at the end of the meal and it was the first time I ate the seeds. I thought they were delicious. These seeds taste the same. They used them as a breath freshener and this is what I use them for. I do not use this for cooking as I have no idea how to cook with these. Nevertheless, these are very good raw.The current price of $6.29 ($6.99 minus 10%) is reasonable for this.

Highly aromatic
It is very fresh, in a resealable bag. When opening the bag, I can smell the scent specially belonging to fennel seed. I use it a lot in my cooking. I like its unique flavor. This one is very fresh and highly aromatic. My foods become very flavorful by having it. One favorite way to consume it is to make bread, bagel, and tortilla. Their tastes add a note of fennel seed, very tasty. Another good use is meat cooking, for grill, roast, stew... This is high quality stuff, easy to use in my cooking and works amazingly.

Exceptionally fresh fennel seeds.
I received the Spices Village Fennel Seeds, Kosher Certified, Whole Spices for Cooking, Fresh Dried Fennel Seed, Great for Tea, Vegan, Gluten Free, Non GMO, High in Dietary, Medicinal Herb, Resealable Bulk Bag 8 Oz in exchange for this review. I am so happy I ordered this product. Fennel is an essential spice in so many things I make and living in the south, I was having a hard time finding decently fresh, aromatic fennel seeds. These seeds are some of the freshest, most aromatic fennel seeds I have ever found. They have added a wonderful flavor to so many dishes, and with 8 ounces in the package, I have frozen much of it to keep it at this peak freshness of flavor. (Vacuum sealed pouches) this product is a great value for the money just due to the high quality of the seeds.

Delicious fennel
Fennel seeds are great for Mediterranean cooking. There are so many great uses for them - one of my favorites is having them crust a pork loin a, along with caraway seeds and other spices. This bag is a great list price for the amount that you get. My seeds were very aromatic and had exactly the flavor you'd want. The seeds seem less processed then those you'd buy in a small jar with many small stems still attached. I tried the stem. It is also edible and tastes like fennel so not sure that this is a big negative. I also found bits of what appeared to be "husk." I googled fennel seeds and found images often contained these husk bits, so I'm not concerned. They were not excessive and certainly not problematic for use.

Fresh, tasty, resealable bag
We use fennel seeds regularly, but not that much of it. We've had a giant bag for the last decade and a half and its still half full. But it's time for a new batch. This package is perfect. The seeds are tasty and smell great. They are clearly good quality. I have a dark Russian rye bread recipe that calls for 1/2 teaspoon of fennel, and these a very nice taste to this bread. I like that the bag has a zip lock seal--though we keep the bag in a second ziplocked bag for extra protection. I also like that this bag isn't as large as our last one: we won't feel the need to keep it around for decades.
