🍕 Keep the heat in, the wind out, and the pizza perfect every time!
The Pizzacraft PC6024 Pizza Oven Wind Door is a stainless steel accessory designed to fit Pizzeria Pronto and PizzaQue ovens. Does its job, well made
This little door does its job when it is windy outside. It doesn’t provide a perfect seal, and isn’t supposed to, it just blocks the wind coming in the pizza hole while leaving a gap on the top. It is pretty easy to finagle and the handle stays cool so you don’t need gloves.

it does a good job of keeping the heat in
Very difficult to put in place. When the oven is hot, you can’t hold the oven to manipulate the cover. That makes it almost unusable. Once in place, it does a good job of keeping the heat in. To work around it the bad design, I use oven mits to lift the whole top and then slide the cover in place.

it doesn't fit, but for $11.50 it's worth modifying.
The height of the "Wind Door" lifts the cover of my Pronto. (my newer model has the rain/visor looking lid.) It only lifts it about 1/8 of an inch, so it can be used. The part that doesn't really work, is that to use it on the Pronto, you utilize a tab that goes over the front lower lip of the oven. The problem is, when the "Wind Door" is as open as you can slide it, it still interferes for two or three inches into the oven. So it is difficult to use, when your are baking a pizza, as it blocks about 1/5 of the opening. I plan to use two strong magnets, one on each side, to make it easy to install and remove. To me, the curved metal and handle are worth the 11.50 they charge. but if it was more money, it wouldn't be worth it. It may work better with the PizzaQue, that does not have the rain/visor on the dome.

Doesn’t fit perfect, but does the job.
It does it’s job, but there it doesn’t fit quit perfect. I modified it by bending the tabs and adding an extra few screws. Helps keep the heat in, and temperature around 800F

Fits prefect, essential add on
Fits in there perfectly and reduces the opening to less than an inch across the top, which makes the preheat time nearly under 10 min. Well worth it. So much so, that I think this should really just come with the oven. Well made, does not get hot to the touch during use.

Fit Fails for Needed Accessory
I recently purchased the Pizzacraft Pizzeria Pronto Outdoor Pizza Oven but found that it would never come up to the correct ambient temperature. I thought this accessory would be a good solution to keeping heat in the oven. Unfortunately, either this door isn't really intended for my oven or Pizzacraft has some manufacturing inconsistencies. The door is about 1/4 in too wide to fit on the oven opening. When attached to the oven following the instructions, and watching the video on the Pizzacraft web site, I found that the door is difficult to put on because it is too wide for the space. Either the door was cut to the wrong specification or the badge on the front of the oven is mounted in the wrong place. Regardless, attaching a removing the door to a hot oven is a problem because it raises the top of the grill when attached and is difficult to remove because the now unstable top of the oven is hot enough to burn. Even with the door attached the ambient temperature in my oven just skirts the appropriate temperature. A properly fitting door should not be an accessory but included with the oven.

Should come with it.
Mine fits great and goes on and off quickly when I use it. Helps with the wind or to cover the front hole when not in use.

Good idea but hard to use
This door worked well for keeping the heat in my Pronto 6000 but it is very hard to use. In Order to hold the door in place you are supposed to use one tab on the inside of the door and then "slide" the door and the Pronto Badge holds it in place. It slides poorly and pulled the Pronto Badge off the oven, so I'd say this experiment was a failure.
