Nice drive, but awful app. There are a lot of things about the app to use with this drive that are just simply annoying. Plug it in, the app asks to access it. Grant access, and while it's launching it often asks again. Grant access again. Once app comes up, click "Camera." Be careful how you are holding the phone, as this will be the image orientation. You take some pictures and let the phone go to "sleep." You wake up phone to take a picture, the app asks for access. (Really?) Okay, grant access (again, watch out how you hold the phone). Now you may get the menu screen of the app, or you may get the camera view. Take some pictures. Phone goes to sleep, and a few minutes later it's picture time again. Wake up phone, app asks for access (Again??), you hold your phone correctly so that landscape isn't portrait and portrait isn't landscape, the camera view comes up, and it's out of focus. Are you kidding me??) So you press "Done," relaunch the app, grant access, and finally get to take the picture (good thing I wasn't trying to get a shot of that purple elephant dancing the samba in the Place Vendôme in Paris -- I would have missed it). So now I need to use my phone for other tasks. The app, sensing that the drive is still plugged in, asks for access. I press "Ignore." Sixty seconds later, the app asks for access. I press "Ignore." Sixty seconds later the app asks for access. You realize that the only way to stop this madness is to unplug the drive.Spend a day sightseeing with this drive and you will find your jaw hurts after awhile from gritting your teeth so much.I guess I should have know what I was in for the first time I launched the app and it said "Data loadin . . . ." (that's right, no "G").

THIS IS AN UPDATED REVIEW!!! I have had a love hate relationship with this device since I first got it. It said that it would work with an iPhone 5 it did not! It did work with my iPhone 6, so I was happy for a few minutes. This device is great for storing photographs and music. You can also store digital files and videos. You can also take photographs directly to this device. It seems to work fine doing all of those. My big issue now is that it will not except Video being filmed directly onto it. So if you do not have space on your phone to first film your video, you will not be able to film directly onto this USB drive even though that is supposed to be a feature of it. I unfortunately found this out while trying to film my son's first wrestling match, after four minutes I got an error message saying my phone did not have enough storage - keep in mind, I was NOT recording onto the phone I was recording directly onto the DM device. Then the device would not let me stop filming, and suddenly I had a buffering symbol in the middle of my screen that would not go away and I had to cut the phone off to get control of it again. (See the pictures I've included.) So, if you expect to go on vacation or sit in a lecture, or a concert or whatever and film directly on to this device you may run into problems. Consider this device strictly for storage. If that is all you need, then this is a gem, and I highly recommend it for just that. But for me, I wanted this device for direct filming so I'm pretty disappointed.

If you check out their web sight you will likely install the wrong app. Spent several hours figuring out what was wrong with wife's iPhone. You need the DM Airplay app. Found out when I tried on her iPad, it downloaded automatically. Works great but would be nice is the app allowed file management on the flash drive. All her iPhone and iPad photos are in one folder.

Would have given it 4 stars bit there is absolutely no documentation with it. It's hard to see how the file transfer is working to be sure to copied the files you wanted. I lost a bunch of files that appeared to transfer but now show as 0 byte files with no picture content. It does not work with the phone or iPad turned sideways, needs to be vertical, so you can't use a stand.

Once installed the device is fantastic for copying or moving pictures from the phone to the PC. The process is simple and straight forward. The key is "once installed". The product has the worst installation instructions imaginable. And there was no on line supplemental resource. The printing on a 6" x 6" sheet of tissue paper is in such small letters and so faint it its almost unreadable. Punctuation and word use is confusing. There are phone screen diagrams, but they too could not be read unless, in some cases, with a magnifying glass. So a user is pretty much on their own relying totally on trial and error.

The app in i-tunes rates very low but I found this flash drive to be super easy to use. Simply plug it into your phone, download the free app and then free up space on your iphone by transferring your photos and videos to the flash drive. We also added a few movies/shows for the youngest child to watch while we are at sporting events and it works like a charm. Very pleased with this purchase.

I was expecting this to be like a normal flash drive with the ability to transfer documents between iPad and computer in both directions. It was possible to make the transfer from the computer to the iPad. But copying documents from the iPad to the drive was either not possible or difficult. With even what I was able to do, it was difficult and awkward.

Love it. Difficult to use with case. Not sure how to get the movies/videos to transfer on this. That's kind of a bummer.

Ok product. I don’t understand why it doesn’t just function the same as a SD card or a external hard drive though. So I never use it also it is overpriced.

OMG...why did I not know this existed before. I get to bring my pictures with me wherever you go and its super easy to set up and use. Would recommend this to everyone. And the price is amazing too!!

So far it's been really good. I would buy another one. I am useing it to store all my snapchat videos.
