My cat loves this toy! Sensored so will turn off it not in use. He plays with it all day long! Great purchase!

One out of my two cats loves to play with this, the other is scared of it but she’s skittish. It keeps her occupied for around 5-15 mins, but the motion sensor doesn’t work very well until I put my hand in front, that might be because she’s all white. My only complaint is the sound, It makes a pretty loud squeaking sound on every spin that I can’t stand. My cat likes it though

It moves around at a pretty good pace. She states then pounces. If she had her way it would be going all day. I tried it once batteries were dead by end of day. Come with 2 butterflies and easy to swap them out. Both Willow and I love it!

I watched videos and read reviews before I purchased this cat toy, and it didn't seem as fast as mine. Seems like this thing is on turbo mode and spins so fast that my cat is scared to death of it (can't blame her). Since there is only one setting, I'm hoping she will still play with it when it's turned off.Overall, the design is nice and seems sturdy, but the speed is a problem.

The media could not be loaded.  *EDIT*: In my original review, I recorded my cats playing with the toy at a low speed, entirely uninterested. After replacing the batteries, I realized I was using old, drained batteries. The butterfly moves much faster now and flaps realistically. The cats are actually involved! They actually make an effort to catch it now.-I was reluctant to get this version because the older version has more realistic butterfly movements. However, this one went on sale so I jumped on the opportunity. I was hoping it would entertain my 5 month old kitten. But all of my cats just kind of sit there watching it. No one is interested in actually playing. And most of the time my kitten just watches the base spin. May be sending this back.

The media could not be loaded.  I have 2 Inside Cat's. My Boy "Chap" is 8 years old and My Female Cat "Bevany" is almost 1 Year. They have a Lot of Toys here. But I wanted to get them something Fun for them. As soon as I got it and turned it on, Chap went crazy over it! He does try to eat the Butterfly 🦋 But thank goodness they send you an extra one! So for the price and you get 2 Butterflies, it's so worth it! I give this toy a 5 Star!Now the only thing I would love even more, is if there was a Timed Turn Off Sensor. Other than that it's a Great Toy for my Cat's! (Takes 3 AA Batteries)

I foster/volunteer for a local rescue and currently have 9 kittens varying from 6 weeks to 4 months old along with 3 very playful mama kitties. I wanted something fun and less likely to eventually end up lost under the fridge or some other furniture and this seemed like a great alternative. They all absolutely love this toy and play with it non-stop! It isn't noisy like a lot of other battery powered toys so none of them are scared of it and the butterfly on the end of a wire is genius. The flapping of the wings is what really gets them going! It comes with an extra butterfly, but I have found it to be very durable with all the rough play and haven't had to worry about changing it yet. I have only three cons and they really aren't deal breakers:*The wire bends pretty easily with how often they try to carry away their "kill" dragging the base behind them which leads me to the next con..*The base is just not heavy enough to keep it from ending up on its side or upside down (or all the way in another room entirely!) with all the rough play and trying to show off their "kill" once they catch their prey.*This thing eats batteries like they're going out of style. I will likely buy the USB rechargeable one next time. Overall, I do HIGHLY recommend this toy especially if you have multiple kittens that need some extra stimulation!

It does go through batteries quite a bit but that's okay because the cat likes playing with it

I would prefer if this moved a little more slowly. My older cat is afraid of it. My younger one likes to atch it but she won't touch it unless I turn it off.I would not buy it again.

Infortunately the wobbling wire just spins in a circle making the butterfly flutter as it goes. It would be nice if it could stop/pause and change direction. Having thought it would be another return - it turns out the cat loves it if I hold the unit and waving the flutterby around - so this is what we do. I was hoping for no effort entertainment (!) while I work - but he now sits next to the unit when turned off , looking hopeful for his next play session! And this is all he does now so it’s a keeper. He isnt at all interested until it flutters. Very realistic fluttering action looks just like a butterfly. Unit is a little bit noisy (so not silent) but ok. And there’s a spare yellow butterfly+wire too. Although now one is on - I have no idea how to get that one off to be honest - as it’s firmly wedged on there.

Much better than the original Flutterbug toy. This one turns off after 10 mins and has a motion sensor. My adult cats don't care for it, but it always attracts my young foster kittens. They regularly play with it, because it's quiet and the butterfly flutters randomly, so it looks realisitic.

Literally 30 seconds after turning on the butterfly fell apart.There is no ‘instruction manual’ as advertised but you don’t need one.Had to bend the wires slightly to get it to flutter as was spinning vertically too fast.Very loud and sounds clunky/broken? Not sure if this is normal.Advert says it comes with 3 butterflies but there are only 2.BUT - kitten is OBSESSED - gives me a moment’s peace 😹

Good quality toy, but my 2 years old cat is afraid of it.
