I will say the wood feels like repurposed plastic painted grey. I don’t have a problem with this at all because our plastic pollution issue in the world needs more recycled and repurposed ideas. With that being said, I believe the lady that posted the video with the screw constantly spinning has exaggerated the point of installation. You’re not going to pop off screws if you tighten accordingly.So let’s talk installation now: The installation is self-explanatory and not rocket science. However due to these shelves being at a standard of measurement that isn’t quite accurate, I would highly recommend using a 3/16 drill bit whether you’re drilling into concrete or wood. I chose to use the concrete anchors on both concrete wall and wood wall (using a hammer to gently knock them into the wall; make sure they’re flush) Everything is holding up exactly the way that I’d like it to, but the big take away out of all of this is that you cannot properly fit a standard Phillips screwdriver in between the nooks of the bracket to the wall screw, which if not installed tightly, you’d probably have an issue. Best to use a small Philips. Truly the most important part of this installation is making sure that you have your wall anchors snug and flush. I felt mixed on whether I liked the product once I opened the box and felt the material, but I am satisfied with their purpose and installation and it did not break a hole in my pocket considering that everything that I needed to mount the shelves was included with the order.If you’re looking for higher quality, obviously this isn’t it. But if you’re being economically conscious and not too particular on shelving and don’t need these to hold more than 15 pounds each, Then with PROPER installation these will do exactly what you need them to do.

I don’t keep very much on these shelves but a few books. They are easy to assemble especially with the directions right there with everything you need. Not perfect at putting up shelves but it works! Packaging was perfect with the bubble wrap, screws in separate bag, and instructions.Pros:-instructions easy to ready (even if you’ve never put up shelves before)-pretty study, would trust a plant to go on themCons:- was a little difficult to screw under the bar into the wall because of the position of the bar (you can see where some of the metal scraped off)Recommend:-using a screw gun instead of a screwdriver for the wall at least (just goes faster & helps with sturdiness, if you’re not as strong)-penciling where you want each screw to go before you start anything-put them together the way you want before deciding where to place them.-get a stud finder.

I, of course, purchased these shelves as they were on sale, and I wasn’t sure how I’d like them. First of all, the material feels great. It does feel a bit cheap, but not to the point where I’m worried about it. They’re perfect for putting decorations on, or other things that won’t be too heavy on it.As for assembly, I will say it’s a bit difficult screwing the brackets on because there’s a part where it gets really skinny and it’s hard to put the screw in. But after going through the pain of that, putting it into the wall was the easiest part.I give it 4 stars because 1. The assembly with the brackets and 2. You have to put the screw in right the first time or else you’ll mess up the board quickly and the screw won’t go in secure after that.Overall, I’d recommend this product.

I got these to showcase my figures and it turned out great! Assembly was easy. Though you definitely need a sideways screwdriver depending on what way you want the shelves to go. But I absolutely love these and will be getting more in the future!

I have these above my computer in my office. They work great holding books and other items on display. I was able to combine some to make a longer shelve as well. They look and work great!

I think they're over priced. The wood is really light, would be a better value to just buy an $8 plank of wood and cut it down.

Basically wood with paint on it, not even smooth...so will be impossible to wipe down from dust!! Will NOT work in a washroom unless you seal it yourself. May keep because I like the brackets, and buy my own wood to make better shelves

Cute little shelves, I bought them because they were so cheap and I obviously expected them to be lightweight and cheap but aesthetically they look great they feel great I’m happy with this purchase I was a bit worried because of the mixed reviews but you’re paying for a cheap item so you can expect it to be a bit more lightweight it looks fine though. You get what you pay for. I’m putting them in my teens bedroom.

Not at all what is described. Very cheap product. MUCH smaller than indicated in the ad. The "wood" feels more like styrofoam and instead of rustic grey, they are more dark grey/blue. Difficult to install, and the screws provided are not the correct length. I need these for an event in 2 days so don't have the option to return them. I will just lightly sand and paint them light grey myself, but am not at all happy with the purchase.

I am now stuck with shelves that are useless, because know way to ensemble them because of the way they are made, can not get a screwdriver in the hole to assemble them. I was buying stuff in advance for a new place, so now the return day is over, never thought to look at them before hand. Who would ever think that that you would not be able to screw them together. I live on very tight budget so to some 40.00 might seem oh well but this is extra spending money for two months.
