Really disappointed with this product. Terribly quality and durability and for the price and the brand I expected much better.After only a few hours of being out of the package the item is damaged. It is literally cardboard boxes with stickers on top and printed images on the sides. Such a shame as a great idea. However this is just a waste of my money, regret the purchase.Would not recommend this product.Update: my daughter received another set for her birthday and once I saw the same peeling on sides/corners I used tape to try and make them last a little longer this time. However as you can see from the last two photos I have uploaded the tape hadn't helped much and they are already damaged after a few weeks.

Expected the boxes to be made of wood. Disappointed they are made of cardboard. They won't stay in good condition or last like other mellissa and doug toys. Can't give to my car addict toddler boy for Christmas as he is too rough too play with them. If he spills a drink, or steps on them they will be damaged. Will have to give him when he is older/ more sensible, by which time they might not be so fun for him. They look nice and I know he would love to play with them, but I was expecting better quality item, and a toy that would last for years and could be passed on.

Love Melissa and Doug toys. This is a great stackable tower. Would give 5 stars but (1) it's a cardboard boxed base with paper on top so my little one has slowly started to peel the paper off. If your little ones are curious and see a little paper hanging off then don't buy...they'll rip into the pieces. (2) again because it's a cardboard base the little ones sit and step and flatten the boxes...but that's because toddlers are crazy :-D But generally it's a really nice tower (even when little one demolished the letter Z by flattening it!)

I have lots of melissa and Doug toys for my son and they're usually such good quality so was a little disappointed with these. I know the houses for the cars are made of cardboard but I didn't expect them to be damaged before i got them out of the packaging. I would have sent them back but my son had seen them and was so excited as they were a present I couldn't break his heart and take them off him.I also noticed that there were already paint scuffs and scratches on some of the vehicles as shown in the photos. If I was giving these to someone else I would have been disappointed as it looks as if these have already been played with. They weren't cheap at £18. I've bought some 2nd hand other wooden cars that have been in better condition :0(

My 14 month old daughter LOVES these blocks. She carries the smallest “z” block around with her like a comfort blanket (ok slight exaggeration) and a couple have had a bit of a chew and have survived to tell the tale, which is good! They are really lovely and colourful and made well. They create a fab tall tower for her to knock down and the boxes are lightweight enough that a bonk on the head doesn’t do any damage (hopefully)! I would definitely buy these again and recommend to anyone who has a child who, like mine, loves stacking things!
