Splendid!
I didn't really have high hopes for this book. I bought it based on the description and expected it to be very lightweight and lacking in detail, and in a way I was right. But nevertheless it's very good. It's one of those books where you go straight to the page with the bike on it you're interested in, and end up flicking back and forth for ages thinking 'goodness, I'd forgotten about that one'. I was hoping it would include a few bikes I remember from the 1980s (LCs, RC30, RG500, etc) and indeed I wasn't disappointed. I've attached a couple of photos (I'm sorry they're slightly blurred) showing the contents, which I hope will be useful. I can't think of any mainstream bikes he's missed out that ought to be in there. You're never going to get a stack of detail in a 160 page book featuring fifty bikes, but as long as you don't expect it, I think the author has done a great job of evoking the era and summarising all the bikes he's covered very well. I'm no expert, but I haven't spotted any mistakes so far either. The photos are pin sharp, it's entertaining to read and in my opinion, well worth buying. Perfect for your Christmas stocking, and also one you can buy with confidence for someone who 'likes bikes' without them having to be polite about it whilst wondering when the charity shop opens again!

Good read
Nice quality good text and photos, choice of models is subjective some were not that popular in the UK

Good stuff
I bought this for 'in flight' reading. Just the job, enough information to keep me interested and enough material to last a return trip to Cyprus. Nice and compact for travel.

Great gift for motorcycle aficionados
This was so well received by the person I bought it for, that I thought it would be worth sharing. He absolutely loved it and found all the bikes of his youth. His wife said he was enthusiastic for hours so not just being polite to me who had gifted it. Seems a perfect little something for motorcycle aficionados.

Zuwenig für des Geld
En wirklich sehr geringer Modell Focus. Die Auswahl der wenigen Motorräder ist fragwürdig..... keine Empfehlung!
