I must say that she keeps getting better and better and better. My favorite book she wrote was The Irish Devil..... but then there is the Highland Trilogy.............. oh but I can't forget Sexual Appetites of Vampires, well - I guess the list does go on. Back to this romance - there is absolutely NOTHING I can say bad about the characters or story. If you love strong, gorgeous, arrogant, possessive, sexy, protective, and couregeous highlanders and the sweet and strong heroines they fall in love with - then this is the book to read. Right now! I'm telling you! I won't get too much into the storyline because you just have to read it yourself, BUT - you have these three sisters who are very close and protective of eachother - all of which have completely different features and personalities. Our mouth-watering H has a contract to marry the oldest sister. The sisters are on their way to meet the H and his clan when one of the sisters is kidnapped by some unknown baddie (or is he?). The middle sister (who is a warrior in her right) takes some men and chases after her. The youngest races to the H and tries to get his help to rescue his betrothed. The desire and sparks fly the second they see eachother. She is stubborn and impatient and he is trying to keep calm and take charge like he usually does. Personalities clash, passion explodes, and tempers flare. LOVE IT! What I loved the most was how our H loves our h. DF is so descriptive with the surroundings that I felt like I was right there in the forest, racing after my sister, and loving my highlander. Of course they both fight their feelings and won't admit to the other or anyone else how much they completely in love with eachother they are, but don't worry - you don't have to wait too long before they succomb to their love. The villain is scary and dark and by the end of this book you still don't know why the sister was kidnapped, where to find his lair, or what happened to the middle sister. But - the HEA is so sweet and full of love that you feel complete with the relationship between them. I can't say enough how much I loved how our H loved our h and vice-versa. I also loved how there were not too many misunderstandings. Having too many misunderstandings and waiting until the last page of the book to hear the "I love you's" gets on my last nerve. In this book - you get your loving sooner and it's so wonderful. So - would I suggest you read this romance - OH YEAH! Right now! Go ahead and order and start your fantasy. And DF - if you read this - please, please, please let me have the next book as soon as possible. I need it! I HAVE to find out what happens next. Enjoy! Review: Good - Emma , Patience, and Heather on their way to Rogan macclennan land for Heather is betrothed to him. Upon heading there they are attacked and Heather is kidnapped. Forced to take matters into her hand she goes to Rogan tell him what happened. With running into him she see the most beautiful man ever. Knowing she is plain and no one wants her for a wife. She disobey his order to stay and he takes off after her Rogan don't understand what it is about her while on Thier journey to rescue Heather from the ghost warrior that belong to the dark dragon he see what a treasure Emma is . Fantastic Start To The Macinnes Sister's Trilogy
If I could give this 10 Stars, I would without hesitation! Rogan MacClennan and Emma Macinnes' story is such an exceptional start to Donna Fletcher's new Trilogy. Emma is the youngest of the Macinnes Sister. She is not as beautiful as her other two sisters, Patience and Heather. She feels she will never marry because she will never attract a man as her sisters do. She is on a journey with her sisters and their warriors to take Heather to wed for a clan alliance with clan MacClennan, for Heather is to marry Rogan MacClennan. She was supposed to have been the one to marry him, but they had rejected her because she is the "plain one". This of course had stung her at first, but she knew, because she was the plain sister, she would never wed. She was the sister that was extremely intelligent and willful in all things. Patience, her middle sister was a warrior herself and Heather was her older beautiful sister who had raised them after their mother's death. Rogan was the son of the Laird of clan MacClennan, he was finally going to have to do his duty of marrying for a clan alliance and securing an heir. His father had convinced him of marrying the most beautiful of the sisters instead of the plain sister and he had agreed. When he meets the "plain" sister, he discovers she is a hellion who calls him a coward in front of his clan. The sisters, his betrothed and their warriors had been set upon and attacked by the infamous ghost warriors of the Dark Dragon. He finds out from Emma that his betrothed has been taken and that the warrior sister, Patience has gone in search of them. He intends on rescuing his betrothed, but little did he know he would have to deal with the hellion during the rescue. Two willful and strong minded human beings will clash wits throughout, bringing on such intense passion. For Emma, this infuriating handsome warrior who is promised to her sister, will give her no peace. For Rogan, this hellion of a woman is going to drive him mad! I look forward to the next two books in The Macinnes Sister's Trilogy! This story is exceptional and I highly recommend it. Mystery, Passion and Intensity run rampant through this great story.

Book 1 of the " Macinnes Sisters Series ". All three sisters are on their way to meet Heather 's betrothed, Rogan MacClennan. Heather as the oldest has been asked by their father to do her duty and marry so that the clan will have a strong leader in case anything should happen to him, the clan chief. Emma, the youngest and considered the plain sister, has already been rejected by Rogan but travels to the clan by request to discuss and help with her knowledge of plants, farming, and healing. When the party is attacked and Heather is stolen, Emma must ride for help to the MacClennan Keep and convince Rogan to come to their aid. Not listening to Rogan, Emma leaves to find Heather on her own. I liked the closeness of the 3 sisters and Father. There was more than enough adventure and romance in this story and the characters were interesting but I don't like a book where you have to buy the next book to find out what happened. Other than that I liked this novel and I guess I will be reading the next 2 to find out what is going to happen.
