Solid, weighty, well aligned
The piece has a nice heft to it, a size that fills the hand when you try to grasp it and the holes are well aligned for proper mounting. It will make a fine piece when I finish the design work on an appropriate base.

Sturdy and just what I wanted
I used this to finish off a walking still/cane I was making. It works perfectly and is nice and sturdy even with my 330 pound frame.

What the listing does not tell you
A tall and large top knob style cane handle. The top knob is about 2 inches across and 1.5 inches from top to the center of the narrow waist below which is about a inch in diameter, a good handful. It is white brass and is tapped for a 5/16" national coarse threaded mounting rod. Threads not too clean as received so included mounting rod installed with some difficulty initially. A quite substantial handle which I would hate to get hit with. Weight is circa 9 ounces without the mounting stud installed. Overall I like it.
