Works PERFECTLY!
Was able to connect my RODE HS2 Wired Headset to the RODE VXLR Pro to my RODECaster Pro 2 and it works PERFECTLY! This can also be used on any 48V XLR type processor and the VXLR adjusts the voltage.

Useful tool for iec711 microphones.
I’m using this with some iec711 earphone frequency curve mics from china. Allows me to use a decent interface with a good frequency response rather than a dongle with a poor frequency response. Awesome!

connect to Zoom H6
I needed this to connect my microphone to my zoom H6 recorder. Works great getting my comica wireless lav mic transmitters connected as well.

Materials not so good
It’s good value for its price but for a Rode product it’s lacking. The belt clip is plastic and pops right off so that’s no good. The mini port you connect your lav feels like it’s not lined up and feels like it connector goes in at a funny angle. I would have returned mine but the packaging has to be destroyed to get the unit out of the box making it difficult to return. It works but it’s not up to Rodes normal quality.

3.5 mm female connection/jack design flaw/manufacturing issue breaks 3.5 mm jacks/prevents insertion
The media could not be loaded. Serious 3.5 mm female connection/jack design flaw or manufacturing issue breaks 3.5 mm jacks and prevents them from being fully inserted. It broke my VC-1 Rode extension cable 3.5 mm male jack. I thought the jack may have been oversized since I just bought it, but the same thing happened with the second sample and another jack. It also goes in at a slanted angle just like another reviewer said. The photo and video in the review will show what is wrong.I will attempt to buy the VXLR plus and hopefully that won’t have an issue.I really wanted this for the balancing that it does to the signal and long wire runs but if I can’t get it to connect properly it’s useless.

Rode is rode I guess
The RØDE VXLR Pro is a balanced adapter that allows you to connect a device with a 3.5mm TRS output to an XLR input. Here's a concise review of the item:The Good:- **Versatility**: The VXLR Pro is particularly useful if you have audio equipment with an XLR input but need to connect a device that outputs a 3.5mm TRS signal, such as a microphone or a consumer-grade audio source.- **Balanced Connection**: The balanced connection helps reduce interference and noise, resulting in cleaner audio signals over longer cable runs.- **Build Quality**: RØDE is known for its sturdy build quality, and the VXLR Pro is no exception. It's built to withstand regular use and potential strain.- **Secure Connection**: The VXLR Pro offers a secure and snug fit, ensuring that the connection remains stable during use.The Not-So-Good:- **Price**: Adapters like the VXLR Pro can be relatively expensive for what they do, especially considering the simplicity of their function.- **Specialized Use**: This adapter is most useful in scenarios where you have professional audio equipment that requires XLR inputs and need to connect consumer-grade devices with 3.5mm outputs. It might not be as essential for everyone. In summary, the RØDE VXLR Pro Balanced 3.5mm TRS to XLR Adaptor is a reliable tool for bridging the gap between professional and consumer audio equipment. While the price might deter some, it's a solid investment if you find yourself needing to connect devices with differing audio connections.
