Low pressure, installed correctly, works perfectly !!!
I bought this item regardless of all the negative comments and complaints. I tried this for the first time today to give my dog a bath and it worked perfectly!! Of course, it's low pressure, why would you need any higher pressure than what this provides? It's great for wetting down my dog and rinsing off the shampoo lather instead of using a container to catch water and pour it over him. So much faster and efficient. Yes, it fits the "square" or "rectangular" faucet just as well as a round faucet. I have one of those in my tub. I did purchase the clamp too as an added precaution but I never needed it since it is LOW pressure. Oh yeah, it helps if you put it on the CORRECT way as illustrated on the package. Some of the pics sent in by customers show it being upside down creating more backpressure from the connection. Seriously people, if you're going to submit a photo at least show it being used the way it was intended or you have no reason to complain. UPDATE 02-28-2018: Just used it again to give my dog a bath and once again, worked perfectly without the clamp. I did test it using higher pressure and found that the backpressure created would NOT pop it off the faucet but instead force the water back up and through the shower head so if you don't want to get wet when giving your pet a bath, do keep the pressure low at a more reasonable level. I have no complaints and very happy with my purchase! I hope this helps others when they decide on buying one of these for their pet.

Beware - bad product and cannot return
This item was ordered on 2/21 (two and a half weeks ago). Although it should fit according to the specs in the description, it did not fit and water gushed out immediately and knocked it off. I had read all of the reviews prior to purchase including the various positions to place it on tub spout suggested. In addition it gives off a very pungent and noxious chemical odor that makes me wheeze. Seller would not accept return nor issue refund stating it will only take item back unopened, unused within 15 days. Well, there is no way to find out the item doesn't perform if it isn't opened. Let the buyer beware!! This unfortunately is going in the trash. Addendum 3/15/19: I filled out the Amazon form regarding the seller email and checked off "no" for the "was this helpful?" section and explained why. Seller responded that their original correspondence was in error and as of today the product has been refunded. Glad of that...but my advice would be to avoid all this headache and not buy this poor quality product.

OK, not great
I bought one of these a few years ago and am now looking for another one to replace it. Hoping to find a better one but landed back on this product page so decided to leave my brief review. Our tub faucet is oval. It took a bit of maneuvering to get this fitted. It works best for us when installed sideways (the oval spigot is long from right to left). I push it before using it to make sure it's on all the way because any water pressure beyond very low will displace it and it will leak. I've had it pop off a couple times but since I check it before turning the water on more than low, I have prevented it popping off more often. At higher water pressure it definitely leaks so I put a small towel over it to prevent the water going all over. Mainly I wanted this for bathing our cats. We have two Maine Coons now and they really like to play with water so most mornings I turn on the tub water (on low) and they sit in the tub and wash their paws and play with the water. Bath time for these cats is less fun but I get it done! Maine Coons really like water but they prefer to make the choice about when to get wet rather than to be soaked for a bath! The rubber-ish piece that attaches to the tub spigot is starting to crack now, it has dried over the few years we've had it. That is probably to be expected. The nozzles for the other end is lost somewhere. It popped off with watch pressure a few times, I'd put it back on and eventually it was off again, but the hose actually works best for me without it. I get the soap off of these big cats faster with the higher water flow! For the price, this hose was ok. Not great, hope to find a better one, but it has allowed me to rinse the tub out and to rinse my cats off and I would rather have had this one than none. I gave it 4 stars because I have used it for a few years, but it's not like you pop it on one time and then turn on the water and use it whenever needed. You have to really be careful about leaks/spraying from the connection and it just popping off altogether. I didn't want to use a clamp since at times I don't want it on there but that might make a good difference. At the time I bought this one it was about 30% less. I'll have to really look for alternatives before I will pay the higher price now ($15+)

Works for my purpose
I use it to sprayer to rinse walls when cleaning and it works great for that. It sprays nice so I’m sure it would work good for a shower head

I can use the sprayer with no leakage and a very good amount of pressure
While the negative reviews about the fit and leaking are accurate, for the cost, and with a little set up time, it has worked greater for the past 2 years. I use it for bathing my dog - every week or two. First, I wrapped duct tape around the place where the hose is connected to the sprayer. (After two years, I had to re tape it.) Second, for each use, I insert the faucet into the hose and securely duct tape the hose onto the faucet. Doing this, I can use the sprayer with no leakage and a very good amount of pressure. While the best solution would be to replace the faucet with one that has a separate valve for a sprayer, it would require, for me, to get a plumber to do it. This sprayer is a very cheap way to get the job done - given the use of the duct tape. After 2 years, the hose is showing signs of use due to removing the duct tape every week. I plan to get another one just in case. It normally takes about 1 minute to set up and take down with the duct tape. I am very satisfied

I can't tell you how many of these I've purchased and they never stayed on or were half the size of the tub fixture. I have older tub fixtures that look like new and no diverter my spout is sort of a square shape and this nozzle fit over it and never slipped off at all during use! There was very minimal drippage and a simple hose clamp will fix it but I don't think its needed. I wish the hose was more on the rubber side of things though like the really old ones grandma had but at least I have a shower now :-D 5 Stars from me unless things change and I need to update.

For it's price I'd say you are getting what you are paying for. If it worked with my particular faucet I'd be in love with it. Filling buckets to dump over kids heads is a pain in the bip! I'll keep looking.

Fit nicely on bath tub tap. I'd the same issue with some users that the water spitted out from the faucet. I tried to reinforce by wrapping a couple of rubber bands around the faucet (act as washer) and it helped stop the water from spitting. I also noticed that I couldn't really turn the faucet at the strength I would have liked. I'd still give it a five star as it saved my day.
